  1. prestonpans bhoys on

My quest for a decent game on a plastic carpet continues, even so from what was viewed today, a bit of grass may not have helped😵

  2. HUGE over reaction from the usual celtic supporter suspects!! Historically factual, teams returning from midweek European games struggle for results, especially on away pitches. (WITH A FULL COMPLIMENT OF PLAYERS)

Celtic return with a squad ravaged by injury, playing away on a plastic pitch.

Ange is is unlucky for now – good news is despite ALL of that – we are only 4 points adrift! and will have our top players returning.

Have patience and stop listening to the dramatic sensationalists on the radio!!

PS SEVCO – with their squad built over 3 years – dropped 2 points AT HOME, ON GRASS !

  3. Bitton’s 2 fouls at the end show a complete ‘give a sh1t’ attitude and perfectly breaks up the game for Livi

The honeymoon is most certainly over

    HH jg

  4. Before it gets lost in the post match flesh rendering, a word of appreciation for the Livi TV coverage. Fair and balanced, though the repeated references to the Livi lions did sound like trolling.

  5. Meh

    Same old

Not a disaster as some are saying just poor

We got wide lots today and put in some terrible balls

Long season ahead, a win would have put us top today,,,,

  6. Going to be a bit controversial here but for me players like Turnbull should be asked serious questions about there attitude and performance.

He’s an example of player who seriously flatters to deceive h flits in and out and then seems to run out of idea of energy as the game moves on .

He needs to produce on days like this not when it’s easy at home.

Just remember last week we were gash v s Ross county got a lucky goal to get us going last week .

We seem to have serious quality problems in the squad it can’t be overlooked.

No away wins in the league in 7 months

Celtic have lost 4 games in a row away from home in 3 weeks .

Today we were ought fought by the worst team in the SPL in a style we absolutely knew was coming .

There are so many problems that have rapidly peeling sticking plasters falling off .

  7. We obv have our injuries but we also seemed to lack a leader on the park today.

    Ajer type.

We missed a chance to really put the pressure on them today.

Very frustrating. Hopefully we see similar dig and refereeing tolerance for Livingston at Ibrox on Wednesday.

  8. Is there any of those numpties that we pay a lot of money any idea how to play on that plastic pitch….

all you do is launch high balls into their penalty area and have enough big guys to create havoc % chances will produce results …..never mind the tippy tappy sideways and back possession play …that’s for decent surfaces…

Ange you should have been advised how today would be played out …they clowns aiding you are useless….get rid of them…. Your work starts from today…..

    —————————

    No, it wouldn’t.

  10. How really bad was that? Against the bottom team in the league.

If anyone thinks we are in with a chance of winning the league

this season, they are having an almighty laugh.

    Aye, just saw that lol

  12. I wish some of the initialled moniker posters on here were actual sevvies but I suspect they are really disgruntled and grumpy celtic supporters or ex employees of the club. Never post when we win, always vicious when we lose.

On footballing matters, I cannot decide if Dabid Turnbull is good for us or not. I suspect bothe him and Tom rogic in the same midfield in these type if games is not a great idea. On current form tom starts before David. We need more energy in there at times. I was screaming for DT to be subbed but he also add a couple of chances

Finally I though Ajeti looked like he was fighting hard and came very close to the equaliser. Some if the others look like they need reminding that Celtic play to win for 90 plus minutes every game.

Rambling a bit here but it helps process the crap out of my head.. ….

I’m trusting in the project. We need more luck injury wise but I’m definitely still on the Ange train..

  13. AP has his strengths but he also has his weaknesses.

Unfortunately they all are on display at the moment.

TR — nothing clicked / no directness / lost focus.

DT — very poor / not fully engaged / looked lost at times.

That was the first half and it didn’t get any better.

NB — totally lost it / he is a scowl walking about the park.

MJ — all about timing / when to let the ball go.

  14. I decided not to expect anything this year after Lennon and Lawwell’s MFU last year.

However, 3 away defeats in the league, scoring one goal, has me even more upset than I thought I would be.

Goalkeeper apart we are no better.

Our defending is as bad as last year.

    Why is that?

    We have new players.

Maybe it’s what they’re being coached at Lennoxtown.

  15. not buying this thems dropped points as well crap , open you’r eyes and see what’s going on with our own team, we have enough issues on the park , ange honeymoon is over.

  16. Stebhoy

Fair point. I have maybe been hyper critical. Mostly frustration though. We had a chance to close a gap and really put pressure on them.

We will get more as they are poor but we are the only team who will catch them and a gap which should have been 1 point is now 4.

  17. RC

Don’t be raptured by results. How many goals have we scored in Europe and domestically. Motherwell got a draw, they have been on a good run and are coming to the big six party. Maybe The Dundee derby will be a good game. You say we can’t win away but they can’t win at home. Hibs drew as well. It’s gonna be a nip and tuck league. Hopefully it will be competitive and exciting. Viva Scottish football.

All we are saying is give Ange ( a decent ) chance. How many yesrs was Fergie at Man U before they won anything.

  18. Here’s a positive. We’re still in the top 6. Well, at least for now.

Did anyone notice any outfield leaders on the park? Players talking to each other, encouraging each other, driving us on? I didn’t, but I am open to be being corrected.

  19. Bob….not the slightest controversial re Turnbull….I totally agree, he does not produce it when it really matters, another Ryan Christie methinks…..

  20. Roberttressel

    I agree with you.

He needs a bit more ‘local insight’ though.

Obv not sure what is happening with these injuries.

Forrest / McGregor / Starfelt / the new Greek lad ?

  21. Iniquito

    Agree we need a leader.

I hoped McCarthy would be but sadly he seems not even to be worth the jersey right now.

I don’t fancy rangers to win their games and we should get better as we begin to get used to the new mans vision.

  22. RIMTIMTIM on 19TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:14 PM

Ferguson was at United for three years before he won an FA Cup but that was a very different era.

Managers rarely get three years to win things at big clubs these days.

    Ange won’t get half that.

  23. If Celtic want our title back, we aren’t going to do it under this guy.

Last year, even the most optimistic realised we needed change in November, under Barnes & Mowbray it was the same, but in all cases it stumbled post Xmas by which time the league was lost.

  24. Distinct lack of leadership on the plastic today. Very disappointing….and Bolingoli wasn’t the worst.

  25. Last season we lost 5 games in what we all call the worst team in a decade .

We need at least 2 more windows to get a team and squad in my opinion my dissapointing feeling tonight

Is more that we knew what was coming at livi but could not avoid playing the game they wanted instead of the game we should have .

Make no doubt about it the worst Glasgow celtic team should be beating the best livi team on any pitch .

  26. Anyone who blames Bolingoli or the ref for this defeat is kidding themselves on ,the guilty men were the the Celtic coaching staff. Did no one tell Ange that Livi always allow you to have the ball in wide areas and defend their penalty area. This is the third season in a row they have defeated or drawn with us using these tactics. We needed goals from the attacking midfielders but if you don’t shoot you don’t score.

Big Ange better learn quickly how to defeat teams playing like Livi as his honeymoon period is almost over.

  27. Whether people want to make any allowances for it or not, there were mitigating circumstances.

European game Thursday night, plastic pitch and key players CalMac , Forrest & Kyogo out injured.

However it was a deeply disappointing performance and the Ange Honeymoon is definitely over,

I can’t see Ange getting the bullet any time soon, the transfer window is also over so we have to play the hand we’ve got.

Some say the Hun result is no consolation, well it is to me.

A few days away from football and we go again Thursday night.

Whatever happens this season will happen, no point in worrying about it now.

  28. Can you imagine finishing with THREE wingers on that pitch!!!!…..Lennon would have been absolutely crucified!!!!…….pass marks….Hart…his save deserved to be a match saver….CCV …..Bolingoli….considering the amount of time out……..struggling with anyone else…..

  29. CORKCELT on 19TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:24 PM

The Hun result was massive. Six points in both a practical sense and psychologically might’ve been too much – even at this early stage.

However, we need to get our own house in order. Doesn’t matter how poor they are if we’re poorer.

  30. I liked the look of Shaw in the pre- seasons.

He’s a big-ish unit, tough in the tackle and looked like he could pass the ball.

Him for Turnbull and the tea lady for McCarthy and we’re sorted.
