Celtic did better than I predicted on my Superbru line. We kept a clean sheet in difficult conditions.
Fair play to Livingstone for making so much of the ground available to the Celtic support. Though critical of their pitch, and I think a Motherwell level pitch would make it a great little place to go, I do not share the visceral hatred of their manager that some of our “Christian” brothers do on here.
Job done and some real positives to take from our efforts.
That was a great team effort. What a spirit.
A real lift for the upcoming games.

The second half against Feyenoord apart we have performed excellently recently in difficult circumstances
Great to see Greg Taylor getting back to his best, perhaps better than ever. Maeda, O’Riley, Calmac all excellent and coming into real form. The back four were excellent, 4th and 6th choice centre backs looked in complete control, as Sutton said, we could have played 400 add-on minutes and Livingston wouldn’t have scored

Tough as it was playing out the game in Rotterdam with nine men, and having to play and beat Livingstone with ten for a good part of the game, I think we might just benefit from the sheer effort we put in on both occasions. And looking ahead with more players coming available, and with what Brendan brings to the individual and the collective mindset we may well surprise ourselves in the challenges ahead. Here’s hoping.
