Don’t think Keevins will be getting invited around for tea anytime soon. To be fair much of what is being said is the same as what appeared here and on other forums . . . questioning whether the board has failed to deliver on whatever DD agreed with Brendan to lure him back. But it has an added nastiness in the tone. He makes no attempt to include the fact that 3-4 first team choices were missing.
Feel free to scroll past, I clicked on it it. No-one else has to.

“It will be a tough watch on television today for the Celtic supporters.
Nothing to do with Rangers being at home to Motherwell as that game isn’t on the box. More about Spurs being away to Arsenal at the Emirates. Ange Postecoglou in charge of the side nearest to Manchester City in the Premier League table. The current Manager of the Month down south. Charming the Spurs fans who didn’t know what to make of his appointment in the first place and now can’t believe their luck.
The Celtic fans are left to mourn Ange’s departure and fret over what has happened to their team since the Treble was won by him last season. Nostalgic for the past. Nervous about the present. One of the three trophies from last season has already gone. Questionable movement in the transfer market appears to have resulted in the signing of one vanity project after another. And Europe is again threatening to end in farce. Not that Ange was any use at that level but at least his team were good to watch while the current version are unconvincing to be charitable.
Is this the package Brendan Rodgers was sold by Dermot Desmond when he agreed to turn his back on a planned sabbatical from the game in order to fill the Ange void? The manager said he wanted his team to play to the Celtic DNA when they faced Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday – and they did.
If those initials stand for Do Nothing Away. The reverse in Rotterdam meant Celtic had lost 28 of their last 34 away ties in Europe. Not all of those defeats were Rodgers’ responsibility, of course.
But Brendan has nothing to offer by way of evidence that Celtic’s Group E prospects can be revived by back-to-back home matches against Lazio and Atletico Madrid. The manager had six home games in the Champions League during his first time in charge of Celtic. He got one point from the 18 points possible. One.
In 18 Champions League matches negotiated as manager of Liverpool and Celtic he has contrived to win two of them. Presently, Europe is a theme park for Celtic – and the theme is to discover new ways of running around in ever-decreasing circles.
The smart money says Atletico and Lazio will confirm Celtic as continental misfits. It suggests the door to the consolation prize of Europa League football will be closed by the halfway stage of Group E.
You just knew that the publication of Celtic’s financial accounts would, on the very same day, be followed by more ritualistic slaughter in European competition. Prosperity visibly proven by taking a look at a bank account bulging like never before.
Austerity on the field at the highest level of the club game once again there for all to see. Posterity? Future generations of Celtic fans appear destined to suffer the same disappointments as their predecessors.
The part of Brendan’s post-match press conference in Rotterdam I didn’t understand was when he was asked if he had any regrets over how money was spent during the last transfer window.
“It’s not for me to say,” he said. I would have thought it was absolutely his job to say what he thought because, ultimately, he’ll take the hit if the new signings don’t make a title-winning impact.
“The strategy clearly works,” he added, referring to the business model regarding transfers. “My job is to look after the football team.”
The two things are surely intertwined but the manager seems reluctant to be drawn into any
discussion concerning the succession of projects who started, or came on, against Feyenoord and looked out of their depth.
There was a shift by Thursday when Rodgers talked about being like every manager – never fully satisfied with any transfer window. But that statement was more of a concern than his previous silence on the subject.
It meant “terminado” times two is a possibility if Rodgers can look around about him and feel the view leaves a lot to be desired. One of my grandsons was at Celtic’s game against Dundee last weekend as a birthday treat. He gave me the match programme to look at when he came home.
In Rodgers’ introductory remarks, he used the words: “Everything is possible.” That sentiment will be disputed until Brendan wins a Champions League group stage match at Celtic Park. Or comes out and publicly questions the road that has been gone down regarding the recruitment of players. I repeat, is this what he thought he was getting into in the summer?”

I saw the headline and quickly worked out what Keevins was writing about.
The fact is, in an interview with BBC Scotland yesterday, when asked the question, Brendan was at pains to clarify that when he said he wasn’t happy with the transfer window he wasn’t criticising the board or the club for a lack of backing. He was simply admitting that he hadn’t managed get every transfer negotiation “over the line” for various reasons.
On that basis, Keevins is once again left with egg on his face.
