A few factors at play here , bit of a Leipzig hangover , horrible pitch , referee ‘at it’. All adds up to the doldrum fitba we haven’t seen for a while. We need to step up the pace ,snappier passing . Should find a bit more space as the half goes on.

So far the highlight of the first half was when Lustig put his tackle on the line.
Livi’s pitch is a bit of a leveller, but they have battling qualities too and the ref is willing to take a liberal attitude towards them.
We are battling too but without much guile- just hope someone gets a bit careless in closing down Rogic or Christie as they tire in the 2nd half

Some brutal stuff in first 10 minutes set the tone and red card for head butt not given presumably because it wasn’t aggressive enough.
God even Walker called it right.
Would take a 1 nil win here.

Its up to Celtic to put up a show here. It will be a game of two halves.
Celtic took 30 minutes to acclimatise to the ‘kicking’ and any number of Livingston hammer throwers should be facing a red, with Menga luckiest of all to still be on the pitch, with weakling Kevin Clancy and his invisible authority.
Any form of three points will be a bonus as we try to play football on Livingston’s embarrassing pitch, BR might quietly accept no injuries and his rock solid back line.
The game can’t be the same for the next 45 minutes or so, and something will give, Livingston won’t enjoy the same fortune or ‘oversight’ in all 90 minutes.
Liv set the tone for the first half with Edouard then Forrest on the receiving end of two old fashioned ‘reducers’ in the first five minutes. An attempt at Rogic followed minutes later.
Any other league in the world would’ve seen some early yellows but we don’t play in any other league.
Best chances have fallen to Celtic against a team of hammer throwers.
Livi to fade second half and a two goal victory for the hoops is my unqualified prediction.

Hate games on artificial pitches, don’t think I ever witnessed a really good game of football on one.
Today is all about 3 points doesn’t matter how & when, just make one of these chances count & don’t concede.
Pre game I thought it was set up for Mulumbu with his experience of the Killie pitch , still think he might have a part to play.

Scott McDonald more or less saying Livi are a shower of dirty bassas but it works for them. You could say that about most teams we play against in Scotland.
Clancy couldn’t referee the under fives, he’s took weak to take charge of the game..
Scott Bain looks a very astute buy by Brendan, got all the attributes of a modern keeper.

Some of the tactics employed had me thinking we were back at a rugby ground again.
In Scotland plays that are a red card in every league in the world do not even merit a yellow.
