Loanees, ex’es and Pavlovian Response

165

Celtic loanee Gustaf Lagerbielke made his debut as a late substitute for FC Twente last night.  He helped the Dutch side secure a point at Manchester United, after Sam Lammers equalised with his fourth goal of the season.  Lammers has now scored more goals in two months for Twente than he did during his time in Scotland, which saw him arrive for €4m and leave for half that amount.  It would be a great irony if Michael Beale’s eye for a striker proved more effective than his successor’s.

Tonight, our Coefficient Monkeys are in action against Sead Haksabanovic’s Malmo.  Sead left Celtic in the summer and has played only 23 minutes for the Swedish club after an uninspiring spell at Stoke last term.  A Pavlovian Response will kick in during the game, but right now I’m indifferent about how this game turns out.  The coefficient points have proven hugely beneficial in recent years.  More of the same would be handy, it’s not as though Hearts are likely to step up.

  1. SAINT STIVS @ 12:25 PM,

“I think I know some of our history but I am struggling to remember back to back Celtic wins.

Have we actually ever done this ?

Brendana teams continue to break ancient records.

Here’s to a other league clean sheet at Perth.

The last one that I can remember…

    6 November 2007

    Celtic 1–0 Benfica

    28 November 2007

    Celtic 2–1 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Gordon Strachan’s Fortress Celtic Park

I’m with you on Brendan Rodgers and breaking records

Don’t know where this Brendan “Failures” comes from…

Guess one man’s Brendan’s failures is another man’s Brendan Invincibles

    Hail Hail

Why do Celtic supporters watch the Sevco games ?

A serious question, given the history of bigotry and anti Catholic hatred from both Rangers and Sevco, we still have Celtic supporters watching the game.

And before anyone starts with ………..

I only watch hoping they get beat, till they score etc, you are still watching the poisonous club b called Sevco.

I honestly do not understand how Celtic supporters watch them.

    …………………….

Hah! You ask the question and remove the chance for those who watch the Huns to give the answer. I won’t give you the answer as to why I watch them because you already know it.

I never tire of seeing them lose.

I loved watching them get horsed by Juventus and Ajax etc in the dark days of the early 90s when that was as good as we got to getting any joy from football.

I loved seeing them lose 3-0 at home to Lyon and 4-0 to a Romanian mob. I used to enjoy them losing back in the early 80s. Whether it is on tv or at their stadium I really enjoy watching them losing. Hibs When the wee N Irish guy scored 3 and then again when O Conner scored in a second 3-0 win a few months later were great games I enjoyed. No problem seeing them lose. We live in a generation when it does happen a lot thank goodness.

    Yep.

    1 the keeper saves.

    2 the striker misses.

Putting your team down to 10 men is not the correct decision.

  5. Great result for our Ghirls. COYGIG.

I did not even know the huns were playing. They are disappearing fast on our rear view mirror.

    HH.

  6. lets all do the huddle on

didnt like that red card in the spurs game. i know he should have let the player go, but they were so far out from goal, and there was much less pulling than you would see in the penalty box at a corner yet a foul is never given.

    dont like it.

  7. Well done the Glasgow Celtic Ghirls what a fantastic achievement!

Anybody know offhand the format for the UEFA Women CL?

  8. Ordinary simple racist

You are just confused, little wonder your a gullible sock puppet for the Grifters grifter, send him a tena and he will stoap a boat for you.

His wurkuz party is full of racist scum like your old moniker whose rancid mindset thinks you are being invaded by those the of different coloured skin pigment.

Anyway back to Grifter Grifter and his boat chasing racist vermin pretending they are working class

    https://x.com/antearmann1967/status/1835490182222512389?s=19

We see you, your wurkuz party grift who all pay taxes in UK and by your skewered thinking are 2nd only to the U.S in armaments profit

Was that the racist farage Grifter Grifter shared a platform with pursuing economic chaos in Brexit/stoptheboats/immigrantsoot

It is strange the now man- ure fan has racism to share a platform with.

Your head is full of jorries, like all the grifters fans they can’t quite settle on one monikers

You hush now and don’t be wasting your taxed pip monies on the grifter

    We see you

  9. lets all do the huddle on

these days its all about ruining the game – disallow goals for a shoulder being offside and dishing out red card.

    no likey.

  10. Clemente is an experienced football manager. They have done well in the EL over recent seasons, and may well do so again. I would not write them off putting up a challenge in the SPL either despite the football lesson we gave them and their troubles in the Boardroom. They are on a good run of results, and do not forget the key decisions they got at key moments in key games last season and the decisions that went against us at Tynecastle. We need to keep on our toes first up in Perth then hopefully over in Dortmund where a team on poor form does not a poor team make.

I don’t watch/listen when they play SPFL opposition.

Tuned in tonight because I have a TNT subscription in order to watch Celtic away in CL and didn’t care about their result.

You were aware that Celtic weren’t playing away in the CL tonight ?

  12. !!BADA BING!! on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2024 8:12 PM

I watch Sevco games,to see how they are refereed compared to us and other teams in the League

    How old are you ?

How long have you been watching Scottish football ?

You don’t already know that we are refereed differently from Sevco ?

  13. Got a £10 double on Spurs and Napoli both -2 goals. £62 quid back of it comes on and looking good atm.

Was raging when that idiot Spurs player got sent off after 7 mins, but they’ve come good.

Fingers crossed they can hold on or add to their lead. 😃👍

  14. So good to see Macabbi lose 2 goals and have 2 sent off in the last 2 mins plus injury time at Braga. They should not even be in the comp imo but great to see them not win.

  15. As far as watching any version of the huns, if they were playing out the front then I would sit at the back or vice versa
