Look out for Cease and Desist orders

1238

The first thing you do when you raise an asset dispute is issue a Cease and Desist notice.  Inform the other party to stop using your asset, whether it is a piece of intellectual property, like a logo or badge, a piece of equipment or a physical property.

In conjunction with this you also ask for all monies collected in connection with your property to be forward to you.  Football clubs, for example, regularly instruct people, who produce merchandise with unauthorised copies of their club crests, to stop doing so, destroy all unused stock and send them whatever money earned from earlier sales.

If and when a claim reaches court, the first request to the judge is likely to be to freeze use of all assets and cough up cash from sales. Keep your eyes peeled…

CQN Nine-in-a-row Charity Golf Day 2013

Our Annual Charity Golf Day 2013 will take place on Friday 14th June at Aberdour Golf Club.  This is our 9th annual event and I’m delighted to announce that Lisbon Lion and nine-in-a-row striker, Willie Wallace, will be our guest of honour.

After winning everything available to him in Europe, Willie made a new life for himself in Australia, where he established a second career in the game, while retaining strong links to the Celtic ex-pat community.

We will be raising funds for the 125-4-125 appeal, while encouraging all Celtic fans to get involved and stake their claim on what this club is all about.  Cost for the day’s golf and the evening meal and entertainment is £80.  Cost for non-golfers is £45.

The Annual Charity Golf Day is always oversubscribed so get your application for a place in early by emailing, cqnopen2013@gmx.com.

Look forward to seeing you there.

I wonder what the seating arrangements will be this year.I usually have the pleasure of sitting at the same table as the great John Fallon & son,but with Willie there this year, and a good friend of Johns, will they seat them together,it would be a shame to split up a great Celtic Double.

Some might remember I signed up for an Overseas Season Book last Aug which let me see all games on Celtic TV when out of the UK but allowed someone not able to afford to attend a game a seat in my place.I wrote about it here:

    http://celticunderground.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=962:the-overseas-season-book-scheme-not-just-an-emotional-commitment&catid=49:season-2012-2013&Itemid=85

Under that scheme I get to attend up to 4 home games when home and have booked up to go this weekend. I later received the following letter from Celtic that reminded me that whilst I got the enjoyment of cheering on (or moaning at) the Bhoys from my winter hide away somebody got to do the same at the actual game. Being a Calton man myself I was pleased to see some of the folk/kids from my old stomping ground benefitted.

    Dear Auldheid

On behalf of everyone at Celtic Charity, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful donation of your Overseas Ticket this season, 2012/2013.

Your generosity has allowed many disadvantaged people in the East End of Glasgow, and a little beyond, to come along to one of our fantastic home games and join the Celtic Family.

Below, you will find a list of organisations who have benefited from your ticket over the last season and I hope you agree that these are all very worthy causes:-

    East End Kids & Co

    The Pavilion Youth Cafe

    With Kids

    Parent Network Scotland

    Hopscotch Charity

    Calton Parents Support Group

    The Arch Project

    Street Soccer Scotland

    Football Fans in Training

    Celtic Active Fans

Gateway to Employment 18-24 and 25+

    Summer Games Project

I have also attached a document which provides a little more detail about each of these groups and some feedback we have received. However, if you would like to discuss any of these beneficiaries further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I do hope that you have also managed to utilise your Overseas Season Ticket on a personal basis during the year. If not, hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you to Celtic Park in season 2013/2014.

Many thanks again for your support and kindness. It has made a huge difference to many individuals who, otherwise, would have been unable to experience the joy of Celtic Park.

Just noting the sevco5088 share price dipping below 59. Can we run a sweepstake on cqn to see what date the share price dips below the ambient temperature in Hamilton?

    Well I never.

  10. Mort/ Bada Bing

I think the argument that reducing prices will increase crowds to more than make up for the shortfall has been resolutely disproved in Scotland.

John Boyle went down that route with Well and led them into administration.

Celtic fans cannot give cheap tickets away for unwanted league games and, in particular LC ties. Many SB holders are staying away from selected games to reduce matchday expenditure. People already have the opportunity to attend selected games on the cheap and are not taking the chance.

Note that I am not saying that a reduction in SB tickets is a bad thing. In fact, it is almost inevitable if we are even to retain our regular customers far less increase new customers. It is also essential to combat the absence of a rival who can challenge for the title. Celtic fans have shown by their attendance behaviour that we do miss the tension of competition (though it did not stop scores of moaning Cassandras predicting a lost title on CQN in September and October 2012. Seriously! ???).

Note that I do not wish them back, merely that I point out there can be disparity between our opinions of what we want, sporting integrity and proper punishment of Rangers, with our actual behaviour when we get it, i.e. becoming more discriminating about our regularity of attendance and bemoaning the absence of pressure and the effect it has had on consistency of our performance.

I would favour low discounted prices for children and teenagers to try to attract tomorrow’s customers but however many attractive cut price offers we make, I do not expect the club to be able to claw back lost revenue until a) We have a viable rival for the SPL title or b) We get out of this set up.

ok, so maybe a statue or naming a stand after him is a bit much, but surely we should be doing something?

A Craigie Burger? maybe a cocktail named after him?

Great way to wind up Sevcovians everywhere………..

  18. Pete–she divorced him afterwards.I had good friends in David Dunseath and Roisin Walsh, who he married after the death of her husband. The husband and David had become friends because of David’s work on the drug squad, and he was a Custom’s officer. She managed to get Roisin out of television for a while. Probably a bit of womanly jealousy, as Roisin was stunning. Ol’ Gloria has a past, as a few from N.I. can tell you. It’s a wee place, and very little can be kept secret, apart form the security forces, that is.Gloria’s husband was a TV producer. She sang in local clubs and hotels.

My point was that the installment-type payments were between oldco and Hearts. The licence awarded to newco surely didn’t have to abide by that. It should have stated all debts to be paid BEFORE a licence was awarded. Otherwise, what would have stopped them from just saying they weren’t going to pay any of it? No chance they would have got the licence removed.

    Pod 1,

we have ran a mini-bus the last 2 years from Lanarkshire/Glasgow.

We will look into the idea once again this year no doubt.

SFTB-Possibly with increased CL money this year ,short term concessions can increase a long term gain of new ST holders.Agree with a lot of your points btw.

Couldn’t get 3 together on lower tier so had to split up but yes office was quiet and seemed a few tickets but dont know numbers lower tier nearly sold out thats all he said,

ps could not have been anymore helpful in trying to get us tickets together but we are not that far apart.

2adults and a child £45 for a party a snip in my eyes:))

  26. TTT , remember , you and I are exempt for a few years . In fact , I think it might be BlantyreKev’s turn to drive , judging by the amount of stuf he gets us to lug on and off the bus each year.

Pod I – keep your eyes peeled but there should be a bus .

OldTim67 , don’t you remmeber – you wanted to drive last year ! AFTER the session .
