  1. As regards sevco, give them their deludamol triumph. Not once did their team play against full strength opposition in the Vileda Mop Bucket tournament.

Every pre-season it is the same – we perform poorly, the usual suspects on here moan about how bad we are and we clean up at the end of the season.

    Long may it continue.

  2. GFTB’ belated birthday wishes! !! Think we all have had a crap time recently!! If you don’t respond fair play! If you don’t!! Have a good one anyway!! HH

  3. We need to stop talking about deco and concentrate on ourselves.

Ok using the squad as we have but I ask the question.

This year is all about 10IAR.

What do we look at as a signature for a new player?

I have my opinion of experience and break the bank for F2F.

    Just my opinion.

Hello again all you young rebels.

Lockdown here in Melbourne bearable now the Bhoys are back playing.

So far Celtic TV has been top class, on my comp. over here so far.

Enjoyed seeing our future stars in the first 60 mins,

They were second best but great experience for them which is invaluable.

Once our big guns came on the game turned in our favour and as far as I’m

concerned we actually beat them 1-0 with both first elevens on the park 8-))

Melburnians will now be wearing face masks from Wed. under new

restrictions, police will hand out spot fines $200 if you don’t comply.

Lets see if the Covid sceptics will obey the health experts and the gov. or risk

    the fines.

I’m looking forward to wearing mine, the pincess is sewing a lovely little

Celtic shamrock on it as I type he..he.

  5. Saw this post from an Arsenal fan which made me laugh:

‘Is it wrong that 52 year old me wants Kieran Tierney to marry my 73 year old mum just so I can call him dad?

My love for that young man is worrying my psychiatrist and my employer.’

  6. Good morning cqn from a lovely sunny morning in the Garngad

I’m not concerned about the tourney in France, but, but I think we need 1 or 2 additions as well as a 1st choice keeper, so 3 first team ready players for me.

Another centre back as cover, another midfielder, yes another and as I say a GK.

All in my opinion of course our first team will pick itself it’s the bench/squad that worries me slightly.

But friendly matches are only good to get the auld match fitness up to speed.

  7. Our first eleven for this season?

    ………………Bain

    Elhamed Jullien Ajer Taylor

    …………….Brown…………….

    Forrest Christie McGregor Elyounoussi

    ……………Edouard…………..

Subs: Ntcham,Bitton,Klimala,Frimpong,Rogic……a fit Griffiths would be included but I am still bound to have missed someone !

  8. Play 2 up front….

I’d like to see Klimala and Eddie given this option…

Some competition for Jamesey and now it seems the same on the left although impressed by wee Dembele last night in spurts…

  9. Sad to hear Lenny saying Mikey Johnston having calf problems & needs to see specialist.

You would imagine if the kid was not right, he should have seen specialist earlier & have the lock down period to recover.

Of course it’s possible that he was OK but broke down as soon as training resumed,

Either way it’s worrying, a definite talent there,

He also confirmed Bayo is injured as well.

  10. Pog – I would agree with you on El Hamed.

You just look at the bench that HS put up there and I would prefer 1 or 2 first team ready back up players. Maybe loan players. It only takes 1 or 2 injury’s to any first team player’s and we could be in trouble.

I know we cannot carry a squad of 25 first team ready with salary’s etc, but we are going for 10IAR Andrew have assers to cover any outlay.

Again this is nothing to do with the France games. It’s been the case for the last year, we have had up to 11 first team squad players out at any one time and yes we have won all trophy’s that could be played for. I think Sevco have improved slightly last year and it could come down to games against us. MIB will have a lot to say in those games.

I’m away to get the grandson ready for his mother picking him up.

  12. Was £25m the buyout fee in Tierney’s contract ?

Liverpool’s Robertson is a fine player and would go for something north of £100m.

He’s not 4 times as good as KT.

  13. Terry McGuinness on

Hi, I’ve been reading this, and other blogs over the years, my favorite Celtic player of all time is, Neil Lennon, and now I’m trying to post for the first time.

I’m not a hun, as I know its the very first question on here.

I would like to ask anyone of you about a thing that was said to me, only recently, and its worrying me. Its this, given where we are with the c19 situation, and with our first game vs them, being put to October, which seems strange I think, well, it was put to me that there is likely lock down in winter again, and so what happens if for some strange reason, that we’re defeated in our game vs them, and their in front in table as lock down happens, and stays closed for rest of season? What can we do? Were we wise to vote for Hearts to be relegated? Does anyone share my concerns? I hope this is not too long for a first post, I’m a nervous person, so please be kind. Hail, Hail.

  14. Terry 10.53am

    Welcome to the blog …

Am pretty sure 75% of matches have to be played before an outcome can be decided … but pretty sure your “worries” will be eased when we pump the Sevs :-) … once the real fitba starts I see them continuing 2020 they way they started 2020

  15. Big Wavy

How COULD I forget Bolingoli after all the mentions he has had on here !

Anyway, our manager seems more content then a selsection of CQNers:

There might not be another Lockdown and they might not beat us and we might be so far ahead that we would be awarded another title and you might be worrying unnecessarily.

Welcome to the site anyway and if you think your post might be too long, have a read of some of BRT & H`s.

  16. `selsection`? That`s nice word albeit not a real one :-)

    selection +section = selsection.

  17. Terry McGuinness on

Hi, Saint Stivs, was your comment made to me? If it was I’m sorry that you think that way. Daily Mail, me? No you’re so wrong about that. I’m just concerned that there might be a conspiracy, in this season, to stop us, and c19 could make it more tricky. I know there’s a conspiracy all the time against us, I get that. Look at Friday, PL asks to get supporters, well some, back into the stadium again. Then the next day, Sturgeon, after telling us all the day before that we’ve not had any deaths for a while, but when PL asks if its ok to let supporters in again, there’s an outbreak! Do you see what I’m concerned about now? Hail, Hail.

  18. theBHOYfromU.N.C.L.E on

When Damien Duff was giving us his resume of our current squad I instantly homed in on his comment about Mickey Johnston ‘outstanding talent,if he can stay fit’……….didn’t use this caveat with any other player……very telling and such a shame if the bhoy ends up a sicknote.

Here’s hoping it’s just growing pains like Jamesy had.

  19. Terry.

In order to post I have to login on page1 and I often put in a random comment. An x . A song line. A Celtic quote. Whatever.

That then lands as the last comment on the last page.

Without knowing what is being discussed or the last comments made I am going in blind.

    Anyways.

THEBHOYFROMU.N.C.L.E , yes it would be disappointing for Michael, maybe Neil might try to build up his physique in the gym, I think that he did some of that kind of work on, James Forrest as well. Hail, Hail.

  22. In a list of unexpected comments on CQN, this one would certainly feature:

`By the way. I read the daily mail.`
