Today BBC scotland sport website are running a story about Morelos being racially abused on social media…..no comment from me on that ..however I found it incredible that they managed to publish both sevcos pre-season fixtures and scores in the article…..haha…they really are taking it seriously [ I am not talking about the alleged racism].

Yes, we must not pay too much attention to pre season friendlies. However, losing is a bad habit that we must not easily accept. Winning builds confidence and morale is much improved.
*11 year ago we won the Wembley Cup, a couple of weeks later we were victorious in Moscow. That season didnae pan oot too good, we eventually lost in the SC to a lower league side.

We could always arrange a friendly v Sevco. They do take them seriously so would offer us a reasonable runout.
The Scottish media will be pulling out ALL the stops against us and our kind this season.
Everything is on the line…every Celtic 3points will be a dagger through their rancid bigoted hearts and the institutional club they love.
We are in stage one…..let the ‘feel good factor’ return to Ibrox..completely forget what a team of mugs they ended up being last season as soon as the slightest bit of pressure was on……almost zero changes yet they are now being described as a team with great potential.
Project stop 10 is in full swing – behind the scenes the mibs are in full training.

I was in Glasgow Argyle Street today. First time in 6 months.
Greatly disheartened to see the amount of souls begging in the streets.
Most of them are very recognisable to anyone who spends anytime there.
The confinement to hotels and wherever has it seems not improved thier physical or mental states, as mostly they look worse than before.

High standards, which would have been unrecognisable as recently as Martin O’Neill’s time, have been set at Celtic in recent years. They have contributed to the club being the most prodigious collector of trophies in Scottish football history. Neil Lennon is the curator of those standards and he knows more than anyone the cost if he lets them slip.
Leigh has a master’s degree in the science of ‘Prove them Wrong’. He has been written off and returned to the top more than anyone I can remember, whatever weaknesses he has, this determination to recover is a strength many overlook.
If you think he’s finished, you’ve not been paying attention.

Amazing rewriting of history and another jab at Martin O’Neill.
When Rodgers arrived, he sought to improve professionalism and fitness to levels that had never been previously known at the club. Standards were on the floor, Scott Brown had come off the back of a chasing by Andy Halliday having been arguing with John Collins at Gleneagles over potatoes and been found lying on the Leith walk scoffing a chippy while half scooped. When Virgil went down south he was found wanting in his first game, pulling up with cramp. Deila openly said when he arrived the players were badly out of shape and had awful diets. He didn’t have the personality to shift the culture. Rodgers did.
Rodgers set standards that would have been unrecognisable as far back as 2016. To be fair to the Board they have made it clear to Neil that these standards must now be upheld. For the record 2000-2005 was different footballing landscape.
As for Leigh, Neil Lennon he was fit enough for Scottish football last season but nothing more. Has there ever been a more damning indictment of the Scottish game!

Another snippet from Fergus McCann v David Murray by Stephen O Donnell to be published next week that is should have been a warning to Scottish football.
It was Souness, in fact, who originally brought Murray, his friend and fellow Tory ideologue, to the table with Rangers and brokered the agreement with Marlborough, after the industrialist, in May 1988, had failed in his attempted takeover of home town club Ayr United, whose directors had judged Murray to be too hot headed, and a ‘most volatile’ and ‘very unpredictable’ individual.
Despite being offered almost four times what their shares were then worth, when they dug down into the detail of his bid, the seven-man board of the Somerset Park club had come to the conclusion that Murray was trying to gain control of the business on the cheap, in effect for a mere £125,000 of his own money. Led by chairman George Smith, a local farmer, and majority shareholder Sandy Loudon, a Girvan accountant, the board subsequently declined his offer, claiming that the prospective purchaser was looking for ‘too much, too soon and at too little a price’, a rejection that left Murray incandescent.
