MATTHEW MacDERMID will take charge of Celtic’s crucial Premiership encounter with Hibs at Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.
The referee will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Chris Rae on the touchlines while Grant Irvine will be in the VAR control room.
This will be MacDermid’s first game as a match official in the east end of Glasgow, but he was the man with the whistle when the champions lost 2-0 to Dundee at Dens Park in October and again when Wilfried Nancy celebrated the second of his two Hoops wins in eight games, the 4-2 victory over Livingston in West Lothian in December.

HEADS I WIN…Arne Engels reels back after taking a kick on the face, but his effort is already on its way into the Hibs net for Celtic’s second goal in the 2-1 triumph at Easter Road.
This will be the third meeting of the teams this season with the first one ending in a scoreless stalemate at Parkhead in September.
However, the Hoops earned all three points in a 2-1 success in the capital in November during Martin O’Neill’s first spell as interim manager.
Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels were the marksmen in one of Celtic’s best all-round displays of the campaign.
