MATTHEW MacDERMID will be in charge of Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final against St Mirren at Hampden on Sunday afternoon.
He will be assisted on the touchlines by Ross Macleod and David Roome while Kevin Clancy will be on VAR duty.
MacDermid was at the centre of the Auston Trusty red card controversy when the USA international was sent off in the 74th minute of the champions’ 2-1 loss to Hibs at Parkhead on February 22.
The centre-back was involved in a tussle with Jamie McGrath as they lined up for a right-wing corner-kick.

I’M IN CHARGE…referee Matthew MacDermid offers a word of caution to Clark Robertson and Callum McGregor during Celtic 2-0 loss at Dundee in October.
Trusty knocked his opponent’s arm away as he struggled to get free. MacDermid took no action, but Grant Irvine, in front of the screens, ordered him to review the incident on his touchline monitor and the match official returned to banish the Hoops defender.
The Edinburgh side clinched the points with the winner three minutes from time when 10-man Celts were hit on the counter.
MacDermid was the man with the whistle when the Hoops crashed 2-0 to Dundee at Dens Park in October in Brendan Rodgers’ second last league game as Celtic manager.
He was also the referee in one of only two wins in eight games during Wilfried Nancy’s catastrophic 33-day reign when the Hoops overcame Livingston 4-2 in West Lothian in December.
