At the time the accusations were made against Gary Hughes and calls for an inquiry, I said DCK had lowered the bar – considerably.
The misdeamour that requires an inquiry and the time frames have now been set by Gary Hughes resignation.
If (or should I say when) the Notice of Complaint is upheld against Rangers/Sevco Rangers later this month, then we have an interesting scenario…
Any call for a full independent review as requested by PL of such serious wrong doing spanning over a decade can certainly not be reasonably resisted.
Any disciplinary charges brought against Rangers, will be meted out by punishments on Newco and as long as they insist in keeping a former Club’s history, and be aghast by venial insults at former Club’s supporters, then that is only right.
Any defence individuals face such as Campbell Ogilivie etc can no longer be brushed aside as raking over the coals.
No, Gary Hughes’ scalp may be a serious own goal by Sevco…
