Making money from Jose, spoiled brat McGregor

229

There is money to be made from Celtic.  You don’t need to be a player or one of the backroom staff, you don’t even need to sell flags and scarves outside the ground.  If you are going through a major story drought and can attach a name to the vacant manager’s job, chances are you will create your two biggest stories of the year.

The same is true of the betting markets.  If he leaves Newcastle, Rafael Benitez (third favourite for the Celtic job), has options in China that would make him inordinately wealthy within a season.  He is not coming to Glasgow.

Roberto Martinez (fourth favourite for the Celtic job), is manager of Belgium – who top the Fifa rankings.  He will take some of the most gifted footballers in the game to the Euro 2020 finals in June and July next year.  If he gave that up to come to Celtic he would fail every professional criteria you would want in a Celtic manager.  This is simply not the time for Roberto, he and Rafael feature on the betting markets purely to take cash from the gullible.

Jose Mourinho fits the profile of the Benitez and Martinez stories.  He is pure 100% show business, a bankable commodity – if you and a journalist or a bookmaker.

What I know for sure is that Celtic want the treble and will do no more than send out holding messages until after the Scottish Cup Final.  This is a chance to record another remarkable historic achievement, the Treble, Treble.

Jose could alight at Dalmarnock Station this afternoon but he would not be getting an interview for the Celtic job.  Nothing will interfere with Neil Lennon’s preparation for the Cup Final.

Allan McGregor’s sending off yesterday was a truly awful incident but it is wholly the responsibility of the SFA Disciplinary Panel.  McGregor has been doing that all season, including against Kristoffer Ajer at Celtic Park.

The Disciplinary Panel decided not to take action, perhaps rendered mute by the sheer volume of red cards shown to other Newco players, but in doing so they established that this was acceptable behaviour.  Allow spoiled brats to kick others without consequence and they will continue to kick others.

Before I post my attempt at the 8, I should fess up that I anxiously await your posting in shamrocks/four leaf clovers, of the number of our League title wins each year so that I can shamelessly copy it and post it onto my Facebook page. I was inspired to have an honest go at it myself this season. (Bloody difficult). Hope it shows up when it posts. Fingers crossed.

  5. The vitrol aimed at Brendan Rodgers Is embarrassing and does not reflect well on the celtic support.

I believe the board wanted rid of him and so they refused to back him in the summer.

£9m from Leicester and turn the support against Rodgers.

    Job done.

  8. Young Celts turn it around now leading 2-1 but Huns still lead 2-1 as well. As things stand Huns win on goal difference unless Falkirk set us up for a mini Love Street eperience.

    CELTICFOREVER on 6TH MAY 2019 7:39 AM

I totally agree with BIGJIMMY and his assessment and feeling towards the snake that is Rodgers I dont claim to know what happened behind the scenes between the snake and the board but what I know was what the snake was saying to us fans about how much he loved Celtic and that he was in his dream job.

*This is my final comment on clodagh, he just disnae exist for me anymore.

No one is denying his domestic success however how many of us were hiding behind couches hoping it widnae go intae double figures against Barca or QSG or when we lost a 3 goal margin against Be’er Sheva not forgetting Lincoln Red Imps, we are no longer fortress Parkheid and its actually been said in Europe that we are now an easy 3 points, the Big Mhan must be birlin in his grave.

Cast your mind back almost a year ago when we signed big French Eddie fae QSG on a four-year deal in the biggest transfer in our history. We were all over the moon and salivating at the thought of him and the Moose rampaging against domestic and European teams.

Unknown tae us chocolate was already planning his exit, he went tae PL and said he wanted tae leave, allegedly with the Moose, something about his china.

Seemingly when DD heard this he went ballistic stating we had just given him 9 million and now he’s bailing oot, better Celtic mhen than him had been hunted for less.

However, you don’t get tae be a billionaire by being stupid so he requested PL to have a Plan B or should that be Plan L(enny) in case sneaky bailed oot midstream.

All of a sudden leaks appeared, Lenny should be called the plumber as the leaks have since stopped and then this narcissist started airing our durty laundry, Christiano Piccini, as if he would swap Parkheid and the agricultural fitba of the SP Hell for the sunny Mestalla and La Liga, John McGinn with a grampa who would surely have known of the “Et tu, Brute” that was going on at the time, how many wingers do we need etc.

Don’t forget David Low who should know the inner sanctum at Celtic saying “there was more joy in the kingdom of Paradise” over sneaky’s leaving.

After strolling to a 3-1 win on flag day with Big Tam running the show we dropped 3 points at swinecastle with the lavvie scoring the winning goal and giving us the red hand seig heil salute, we huffed and puffed against a sevco directors other team, no matter we’ll gub his main side, not so, aye it was a Beautiful Sunday and we won easily but it’s clear something was lacking.

This continued for the first half of the season, our away form was scheitd, a draw at Fir Park and a gubbin at Easter Road, where their manager was having internal problems, aye it’s all the mitbs fault, yet in spite of the spoofer practically downing tools, we won the LC, but on reflection it was against the sheep who should also be clearing their shelf of an out of date management team.

And then the unforgivable he went intae hades with a poor team selection and tactics, was this done on purpose, don’t forget by this time he was on a promise that he would be in the King Power Stadium 10 days after this game, was this his farewell present tae us the support who had elevated this failed EPL manager tae a level he didnae really deserve, real Celtic mhen don’t do that.

We often claim that some teams lay down tae the huns, mccall’s motherwell, tango and sash’s pars and until recently mcsleekit’s sheep come tae mind, and the question is how can they when they have Tims in their side, easy when the manager picks the side and chooses the tactics. He who sold out the patriot game proved that on December 29 2018.

However, when his move fell through and after the Dubai trip when it looked as if he was staying for the rest of the season he became more focused and our form, Europe notwithstanding, picked up, there was no way he was going tae sacrifice his potential move tae the only club he ever wanted tae manage, no matter who that was, and so we benefited as for the first time this season we started to win playing football the Glasgow Celtic way.

Unbeknownst tae us the Foxes players were planning tae throw their own manager under the bus which they eventually did on the last Saturday in February.

I actually watched this game and couldnae believe how poor the home side were, the next day we had a very good win under controversial circumstances as the Motherwell manager verbally attacked our fans and for the first time since he arrived the fraud hit back, was the worm turning, that soon ended when Claude Puel’s reign ended at the King Power Stadium

On the Monday our now departing manager and his assistant were seen laughing and joking at Lennoxtown, what we didnae know was they were now off dawn sarf, not giving a donald about us and our rebel treble or 8 in a row aspirations.

Just look at the European draw we had AEK FGS we should have been in the CL after Christmas but no we drop intae the Europa and we only qualify for the post Christmas games due tae Rosenberg stealing a late point at Leipzig, he must have been gutted the best laid plans etc, and then a poor Spanish side take care of us.

John Barnes’s short term showed a better run in Europe, we even managed a win in Israel, even the hapless Mogga contrived tae win away in Moscow and Hamburg and PLG was given the sugar lump after remaining unbeaten in the UEFA Cup and finishing at the top of their group, for heaven’s sake sevco had a better run in Europe under the mersey tunnel mooth than we did.

With the players we have we should now be playing the arse, who were poor the day against a side that has just avoided relegation and had nothing tae play for while they had a chance of the Champions League, for a place in the Final.

Unfortunately we had a manager who knew he was raphael in Europe and didnae know how tae compete with real technical coaches, he also couldnae give a donald duck about us by then, we win he has to stay and probably be shown up as the loser he is against better coached sides, but his eyes, unfortunately for us, were on the east midlands.

When he asks in an interview after his current sides games “how did the Celtic get on”, don’t be fooled by that, it’s only because he is shocked at how venomous a support that worshiped him are.

As WGS also said “I don’t know if there is another big club where the supporters have a love like the supporters have a love for this club.” Clearly the Sheffield Wednesday supporter didnae.

If he had stayed until the season’s end and then stated that for ambitious reasons he was going south as he had done enough up in Scotland, I, sad tae see him go, would have been grateful for the possible 9 trophies, rebel treble and the money that was brought in.

But let’s be cognizant to the fact that at the time he joined us he was unemployable and also had no trophies tae his name, in fact his CV was no better than Mogga’s or the much maligned Davie Moyes, at least they both played for us.

He was also not very popular with the fans of the clubs he ditched, after signing long term contracts tae, on his way tae fame and fortune, his first game for the Foxes which they lost tae a late goal the Hornets DJ played “Just Can’t Get Enough” lol, so in essence we were just as good for him as he was for us and we really have dodged the proverbial bullet.

I would have bought the done enough up in Scotland excuse, but China and Leicester, that’s not ambition, that’s avarice.

He’s nothing but a phony bassa that took a loan of us all, plus he sensed that there was an issue between some of our fans and our CEO, a better mhan than he’ll ever be, FGS Alan Partridge’s doppelganger is a better Celtic mhan than him, and tried tae play us against each other.

Don’t forget that DD is the real mhan that calls the shots, it was he who opened up the purse strings to pay him and his staff their inflated salary and purchase the players he wanted, if not needed, as half of them sat in the stand, he thinks he was being a fox, no pun intended, when all he really was is, and there’s only one word for it, SLEEKIT.

No matter what and how infantile his actions were when he didnae get his way and threw his toys out of the pram we now have two trophies in the cabinet and are in the Final of the SC, NO THANKS TAE HIM, this is all down to the players and the well run organisation that is Celtic FC.

Should we eventually reach the magic 10 and Lenny, Ronny and whoever is in charge then are invited back for a celebration I hope he isnae but truly I don’t care.

Finally one of the greatest team goals scored by our club was 33 year ago last Friday; the scorer was a wee iscarriot who always professed his love for us that is until he back stabbed the greatest Celtic captain in my lifetime.

As Big Jimmy has said we have never forgiven him and yet it has been often said he was like the hordes standing in Calvary when our Blessed Saviour said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”, clodagh is a lot brighter than him and knew fine well what he was doing as he sneaked oot the back door at Lennoxtown.

  24. Glad you enjoyed yourself today. When I lived in the Brig I used to drink in the Georgian fairly regularly. Been back a few times over the years mainly for functions. Still enjoy it. I had a great time on Saturday night – celebrating a 50th birthday and 50 Titles.

    You may well be right.

However did Brendan Rodgers fit the ” Board Model” ?

    HH.

    ——-

He did not, and look how that turned out. As Peter Lawwell said at Brendans first presser, “the strategy remains unchanged” (quote). The ambitions and ideas of the Manager were not aligned with the PLC resulting in a problematic relationship. Ultimately the Executive must bear responsibility for that for it was they who appointed BR.

I think there is some substance to the idea that Brendan was an ‘ideal’ appointment at the time when a team calling themselves Rangers entered the top division for the first time and industrial scale cheating was being confirmed and exposed. The Celtic support celebrated the trophies but looked the other way as the Hun for off Scot free and who can blame them. The PLC played a blinder. One wonders if this was the motivation behind the remuneration committee handing Mr Lawwell a £2m golden handshake.

When the PLC handed Brendan a 4 year deal in 2017 we all celebrated Brendan being here for the 10. But it was nothing more than asset management. The PLC saw the chance to cash in and they did just that. One wonders if Brendan received a cut of the £9m. Confidentiality and all that.

When all is said and done, you have to admire Peter Lawwell. He knows the game and how to play it.

  26. I actually quite like Neil Lennon as a Manager, he has done a good job under difficult circumstances. The support seem to be divided but i don’t see any big issue with appointing Neil .There are no stand out candidates within reason and Neil knows his way around the game up here. His record stands up to scrutiny. The Hun seem to be hoping for Neil to be appointed. Of course they are not very bright so we should disregard that somewhat but they should be careful what they wish for.

Brendan contributed to our current success but he is yesterday’s man Celtic should always be about Celtic once the walk out the door hope it hits their bahookie on the way out… Brendan suckered all of us … but also brought us great times … which I think we are still reaping the rewards … legend ?
