MALMO, WINNIE THE POOH & THE CQN POST OF THE DECADE!
At our CQTEN Party at the Kerrydale Suite in March 2014, Brogan Rogan Trevino & Hogan (BRTH) called Zbyszek to the stage. Zbyszek is a hugely respected Legia Warsaw and Celtic supporter who posts on CQN from his home in Poland. English, it should be noted, is very much a second language for Zbyszek. Our Polish friend was about to be named the worthy winner of a very special award – The CQN Post of the Decade.
This stunning post was about Celtic, then chasing three in a row under Gordon Strachan. We had unfortunately just lost at home to Motherwell to put Rangers in the driving seat in the league race. The mood was very black on CQN that night as we all saw another league title slip away. Or so we thought.
Then Zbyszek came onto the blog and called on the wisdom of none other than Winnie the Pooh. He concluded the best post ever on CQN with the best line ever –
“In May, Rangers will be looking for something which was close, but disappeared.”
And after last night, to paraphrase Zbyszek:
“ON TUESDAY, MALMO WILL BE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING WHICH WAS CLOSE, BUT DISAPPEARED.”
Disappear it did for RANGERS and so did they!

It’s my post with a title from Winnie the Pooh, author A. A. Milne.: A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others (Celtic), makes all the difference.
“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like “What about lunch?”
As you all know I’m a foreigner who does not find it easy to express his own opinion. Sometimes I need a dictionary to check the meanings of the words used in your posts. Some posts are very easy to understand, some are not. Things become more difficult when I try to say exactly what I want to say. These days, before OFD I understood everything very well. It’s all about the win against THEM.
“My spelling is Wobbly. It’s good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places”.
You never blame me (Zbyszek) here for being Wobbly-man. I’m WobblyWobly man. Not only letters get in the wrong places, but my words get in the wrong places too.
Gordon Strachan is Wobble manager this season in the SPL. He tried very hard to do his best, but this season is different. Right, he was Wobbly with a players, with a players positions and with the tactics.

I don’t blame Strachan. He achieved a lot, I think. You cannot blame somebody who went on the top and couldn’t defend his top position. All people in Celtic including Mr. Strachan and Mr. Lawwell should think about mistakes they made. No doubt, mistakes were made. They should start their job again from the place they are now. You could always have a worse manager. The bright side is that clever people can analyse their mistakes. I’m sure next season Gordon Strachan will be much stronger and much better manager.
“I don’t see much sense in that,” said Rabbit. “No,” said Pooh humbly, “there isn’t. But there was going to be when I began it. It’s just that something happened to it along the way.”
When my Legia won the title two years ago I thought we will be champions until the end of the world. I couldn’t believe it could be true what one of the experts said: “They won’t be the champions next season. It’s almost impossible to be the champion again, year after year, two in a row.”
Those who are disappointed with the current season, should check CQN archive. I remember what you were posting. I remember your wishes. Wasn’t it Celtic playing in the Champions League? Yes, it was, but it was only a wish!
“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you.”
Some time ago I said that you have too many players who don’t know the club they are playing for. Celtic cannot be the bazaar.
When after the game against Barcelona I met Maciej, my friend from Poland he said: “Celtic has few good players, but has more average players. Why the hell do they pay so much money for and to average players?” They have too many expensive, average players. I’m not the expert, but I think Maciej was right.
It’s always sense to stand behind the manager and the players until the end of the season. Even if these are the last days in Celtic for some people, I would support them until the end. They are Celtic players while they wear the hoops.

No matter if it was two thousand years ago, or yesterday – people come to truth when they respect facts. It doesn’t matter who is right but where the truth lies. Truth will be known only in May. We will see who will be on the top.
“You can’t help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn’t spell it right; but spelling isn’t everything. There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn’t count.”
No need to be a Celt, Irish or Catholic to be a Celtic FC supporter. I remember nice welcome I took from here about three years ago. I think, I was the only person who needed some time to think how to write TUESDAY properly. I may forget how to spell TWESDY, I remember how to spell CHAMPIONS. I will spell it properly in my happy post in May.
“You can’t always sit in your corner of the forest and wait for people to come to you… you have to go to them sometimes.”
No doubt, Celtic try to understand what people think in the other place. It always helps to change the meaning and to become a more intelligent fan.
“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. “Pooh,” he whispered.

“Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw, “I just wanted to be sure of you.””
Things have changed in my club Legia. We have a conflict: fans against the owners. No chance to see big support at my stadium these days. I don’t want to say: you don’t shout loud enough, but I would like to hear huge noise from first until the last second of the game. No whistling fans, no empty seats. These eleven man want to be sure of you. No matter how the man starts, it matters how he finishes. I really believe the league is not finished. Keep winning, the rest will come. My fingers will be crossed.
“It’s so much more friendly with two”.
My Legia has no chance to be a champion this year, but I have another club I follow.
“People who don’t Think probably don’t have Brains; rather, they have grey fluff that’s blown into their heads by mistake”.
What does Think mean? Where does it happen – THINKING?
As I said, my Legia is many points behind Wisla. Today we played a cup game against Wisla in Krakow. Our coach thought we have no chance to go through. He decided to concentrate on the second place in the league. Our second, young squad played against Wisla … and won 1:0. We are still in the cup. It was a sensational result. Could I believe that three hours ago? I have fluff in my head. Fluff and bones.
I tell you, it’s easier to believe Celtic will be a champion.
