I still think we need a strong central mid to compliment that area.
Was pleased to see GMS come on and play well.
Their keeper made a good save.
Also it was pleasing that Jozo and Erik adjusted their game after initially struggling and played very well.

Some great players at City, but the whole place looks flat. Over lit, quiet, full of tourists.
Celtic fans were immense. Sang all night, and the 67-Lisbon light show was tremendous.
Let’s hope Brendan can do with GMS as he has done with similar tcheutcher soulmate Stuart Armstrong.

Proud again of our team. Fantastic tactics and attitude throughout. Coulda won it. Can Brendan do with GMS what he is doing with Armstrong? Might have had Leight on for Dembele earlier but what do I know. Very proud.

Great performance from the Bhoys. 16 shots to their 10. 6 on target to their 2.
We are progressing.

Craig Thomson now persona non grata in Turkey…or in my local barber shop.
The guy is a complete and utter joke.

Brendan has probably had a bigger impact on Celtic that MON did when he arrived.
I didn’t think that was possible.
That was great tonight. Without Tierney and Sinclair. We have our chances – as we did in Germany – and a slightly higher quality of player might see this converted.
Lost three, drew three. Would have taken that at the start. Lots of progress from individual players along the way. Happy days!
Only downside for me tonight was the singing from the away fans, which at times was painfully embarrassing.
Looking forward to Friday night

Well done Brendan’s Bhoys. Any time the Etihad is on TV, the City fans are quiet, no history, no spirit, no soul. We have all three in spades. God bless Celtic!

Wonderful performance. We can now see the coaching really coming through with the pressing, passing and shape really coming together. Possibly one of the most controlled performance I’ve seen from us away from home in Europe. Tonight is a hugely significant benchmark for us.

Well Done Celtic! It was like eleven new signings from last season!
Wonder if Joseph Anthony had a bet on this one?
He should have bet on Broony being MOM -Again.

Is Stuart Armstrong going to be the new Kris Commons?

Watching the highlights of Dynamo Kiev/Besiktas, Kiev player breaks in on goal alongside Besiktas defender both players fall to the ground with the home player doing a davie wilson/polaris macdonald impersonation, outcome mitb gives a penalty and red cards the defender, goal line official remonstrates in a threatening manner with away team defender who complains about it.
Panel in the studio, including the heids brother Steven, cannae see where the red card came fae as even if it’s a penalty the defender still tried tae get the ball and the rules which came in place in the summer state that if the player tried to play the ball then it’s a yellow. The officials are a right arrogant mob even outwith their home country, must have lots of protection from UEFA.
Steven C says that although he played for most of his career in england and so never came in contact with this ref it was typical of him anyway.
So apart from Celtic gaining another €500k tonight
I see Aberdeen have moved to within 2pts of 2nd place in SPFL with a game in hand over the team currently in 2nd place

I think little Emilio deserves a lot of credit the way he has played since he’ come in for Kieran. Many (including me) thought his Celtic career was over, but he has actually come back a better player.

Anyone notice the lack of fouls against the hoops compared to your average SPFL game? Discuss.

Great performance tonight. Armstrong was superb. But, the Brisbane Zidane. Swoon.
Great performance by the bhoys tonight. Done us proud.
Also, nice of stv to cater for thems while our game was on….our queen at 90.……lol…nice try
To sum up the progress that Brendan has made in a few months I was disappointed we didn’t win…
Celtic look so much more composed on the ball in Europe than we have done for quite a few years.
Onwards and upwards for Celtic
Bonnar’s final comment unprompted when Celtic have had a positive result is “if Brendan is still around”
Watching the highlights.
We defended like lions, attacked like lions.
And should have had a penalty.
We had about three times more shots on goal than Man C.
In their own ground.
We are on a wee journey here:-)
Ps, Hun, did you tape the Bill for me?
DessyBhoy, that is disappointing when Brendan has said he has a plan and will see it through.
Messi, 93 CL goals.
Hats off to the lad, that is tremendous.
Have the Glaswegians trashed Manchester yet?
No?
Thought not.
I’ll be quite for a bit now.
