A wee aside on tonight’s game. Anyone know the Celtic fan who constantly whistles very loudly at games …..its like a burglar alarm going off. Heard him tonight again . Some years ago I actually moved from the North Stand to get away from it all as it did my head in but I still hear him ( or maybe its a her) at every game no matter where I’m sitting !!
Well done Celtic, more than a match for city. Watched the highlights on BT2 and all Lineker was interested in was the Man City chances and penalty shout. At least Steven Gerrard said Celtic should also have had a penalty. No Celtic chances shown.

Coming from the NE I have a fair few Sheepie supporting amigos, and they to a man want Del boy gone, they know he is a hun thro and thro, they didn’t go to their game tonight and made their feelings known to Milne, one of them works for him, I doubt he will be managing them next season.
Like many others I want a challenge to us and I want it to come from anyone but the hun, I just want them to wither away slowly, the more pain they have the better.

A very, very decent performance tonight. It would have been fascinating to see what the outcome would have been had one of the teams needed a result.
Although it was competitive enough it wasn’t quite what it might have been. This does not deflect from the competence of our play, the style of our team nor the bravery on the ball and in passing. Very encouraging….
Looking forward, in my view, the one really clear thing that does need to change is taking chances. At this level it is vital. In 5 of the six games we’ve had very clear opportunities which if converted would have earned points or at least changed the game dynamic in our favour.
Moussa is young, Griff lacks game time (likewise GMS), Sinclair and Column will be kicking themselves over misses against BMG.
It is to be hoped that composure and decisiveness can be added to our obvious improvement in other aspects.
Can better finishing be coached or are Moussa and Griff in particular natural goalscorers likely to exploit opportunities in future?

What impresses me is the movement off the ball. Our guys always had an option.
It makes it easier for the players to get on the ball, no wonder confidence is flowing.
You can sense Brendan is taking us somewhere.

We are only a few months into Brendans team building strategy.
He will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of players he inherited.
A properly implemented playing system has been the difference.
Our spacing si not always perfect but it is improving.
The ability to take off first choice players without weakening the team is vital.
With a few additions we can really be a force in Europe.
Will still be hard to overcome the EUFA bias to the big leagues but Brendan can do it.
Brownie has proven in Europe that he is an international class player and a fitting captain.
Armstrong will get there to.
The Bhoys done us proud in Sharkeys pub in The Gorbals when I get home I will go back to page one and I bet there will be some p…k’s still complaining HH.

Basically, Manchester City reserves drew 1-1 with Celtic. Some of the young players did well, particularly Toisin Adarabioyo after a shaky start.
For City, it was about who did enough to play themselves into the first team – not many did. I was particularly disappointed with Leroy Sane.
When he fancied it he drove past Celtic players with ease. Problem was he didn’t fancy it very often.
Celtic can be proud of themselves. they worked hard, battled, scrapped and played to the best level they could.

To your face. You should have heard what they said about you after the game
By my reckoning we had 4 good performances out of our 6 CL ties. The away drubbing by Barca and the home defeat by Gladbach being the two weak performances.
These players are performing with bravery and verve against very expensive players.
This is so much better than Ronny’s 2nd season and the unity in our support is worth a lot to the team.
I expect we might have to see some squad rotation for Friday’s game vs Thistle.
