MANE RACE HOTS UP

SPORTING Lisbon winger Carlos Mane has admitted he would be open to a move to Celtic.
But Ronny Deila could still
be thwarted in his bid to land the exciting Portuguese winger on a loan deal that could lead to a permanent £4million switch, as CQN reported yesterday.
French aces Monaco, Bundesliga outfit and ambitious Championship side Middlesbrough have joined the race for the 21-year-old touchline star.
Mane
said: “I know some clubs have asked about me. Celtic? Sincerely, I wouldn’t say no. But at the moment I can only think about playing
for Sporting Lisbon and showing my level.”

Injury has stalled Mane’s progress this season and the Under-21 international has been left out of the Sporting squad for their league game against Braga today.

Mane is due to meet club bosses on Tuesday to discuss where his short-term future lies.
