The Slovenian’s narrow defeat deserves some context: Sevilla also eliminated Real Betis, Porto, Valencia and Benfica.
Make no mistake, we’re up against a decent European team. More on them later in the week.
Tonight it’s St Johnstone, who, like Celtic, have sharpened their wits with European football in recent weeks, and well as enjoying an opening day win in Dingwall at the weekend. They have lost their talisman, Stevie May, which is a pity, as I would like to see the Celtic defence stretched as much as possible this week, but they will be as ready as any domestic opponent we could face at the moment.

The Foundation was founded in the wake of the Bring Martin Home campaign, which brought our very own Kano home from life in a hospital bed.

I don’t believe in all this nonsense about having to spend mega bucks to have a dcent team. We wasted plenty of such as Pierre, JVOH, Cadette, Scheidte etc whereas we got much better value in Scott McDonald even at CL level.
I am certain we could buy the entire Costa Rica side for about £ 5m and they were a better team than the much more valued England, Italy or Uruguay sides they faced.
Well organized and prepared to work for the team and genuinely give 100% effort…alas
our players apart from McGregor & Henderson seem to think it’s below them, Time to get the sleeves up and show we have outwork any side first then let the skills come into play.
Referees fees –
If they relate their pay to average an SPL salary and/or attendance then I’d say they are well paid.
It would be interesting to see which countries they are comparing themselves too and the admission prices.
On another level how much are refs not declaring to HMRC? Even for a kids non-competitive match the fee is over £30 for 40-50mins. Some do several games.
So refs are well remunerated for their hobby.

I’ve raised this before as have a few others, getting rid of PL is pointless, he is simply actioning the main shareholders orders.
Get rid of PL and A N Other will be brought in to carry out DD’s orders but I expect you know that so I can only surmise your dislike of PL is personal.
