Darwin’s ‘survival of the fittest’ quote doesn’t actually mention the fittest:
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
Being able and prepared to rapidly abandon your ways to thrive in a new reality is a lesson many of us learn.
Ange Postecoglou changed his ways during last season, but not before he became a caricature of intransigence. Tottenham’s faults were not all his, but he owned this particular fragility. Spurs because Darwinism in action.
Celtic seem to re-employ managers on a predictable loop. So he might be back. He’ll be a better manager for his EPL lessons. I’d take him in a heartbeat.

What’s this
RIP Henry
We do not have a vacancy, this leader is no better than Beale turning up when VB was struggling. What has BR done to the blog owner to cause this outright animosity and now proposing someone for a job that doesnt exist.
Paul 67
What larks Paul
– What larks
we have a great manager .
i wouldn’t swap him out for anyone at this moment.
poor leader tbh.
thanks for the headsup BSR
It’s not often wee see a Saturday article…and there was no need to change that.
Odd lead

Trolling?

*Sigh*
lazy journalism.
i see other blogs hysterical about brendan having to talk to dermot directly and thats because the executive cant get things done.
this is then backed up with the lawwells continue to brief against the manager.
meanwhile i couldnt care less.
in brendan i trust.
Paul 67,
We currently have the best fit manager at Celtic.
There is no vacency.
Wins a big trophy for the first time in decades and leads his cllub to the riches of the Champions League
What does Levy want ?
HH.
Someone, not that long ago, pointed out the decrease in the number of posters on this site.
I would imagine a blog would lose interest to posters if it continuously briefed against the manager!
P67, rather than ‘Spurs because Darwinism in action’, didye mean ‘Spurs BECAME Darwinism in action’ ?
As for Ange coming back; do not hold yer breath. His fave singer might well be Yazz and her 1988 anthem.
The other thing we should be grateful for is that both Neil and Brendan ‘get Celtic’ hence why they felt emotional enough to come back: Mr P (who I backed) simply ain’t so sentimental ’bout us.
BR is good for us.

Eugène Adrien Roland Georges Garros (French pronunciation: [ʁɔlɑ̃ ɡaʁos]; 6 October 1888 – 5 October 1918) was a French aviation pioneer and fighter pilot.[3]Garros began a career in aviation in 1909 and performed many early feats such as the first-ever airplane crossing of the Mediterranean Sea in 1913. He joined the French army and became one of the earliest fighter pilots during World War I. Garros was shot down and died on 5 October 1918. In 1928, the Roland Garros tennis stadium was named in his memory; the French Open tennis tournament officially takes the name of Roland Garros, which is held in this stadium.[4]
MON Coco 👍
Good morning from heavily polluted Ottawa (due to massive forrest fires)…..
I don’t know what Paul67 is on about re Ange….
Honestly, I wouldn’t consider Ange for the Celtic job – even if there was a vacancy.. He was a breath of fresh air in his first season, but as season 2 got under way, it was clear that he was never going to change (or even tweak) his approach. Yes, it worked in a Scottish league that had no other decent teams, but Europe was madness. I was not unhappy when rumours suggested that he was going to leave.
Once he signed for Spurs, it was only a matter of time before he was found out. The EPL has strong teams and top managers and coaches. Yes, they had a lot of injuries. All the more reason to adjust tactics. But that wasn’t his way.
Yes, many of us feel sorry for the crap he got from english interviewers, but he really brought it upon himself.
Oddly, his one success with Spurs was achieved by parking the bus. Too little, too late.
Cheers,
Weeron
in brendan I trust
I’ll second that.

Should have been called the Gene Garros stadium
Lazy journalism it’s know as.
🥱
Who would bet that the next Spurs manager will not win a major European trophy and will not get entry to the Champions League.

My sentiment exactly.
In fairness, Spurs won’t finish 17th in the League either.
“Celtic seem to re-employ managers on a predictable loop. So he might be back”
I count three. McNeill, Lennon, Rodgers.
“He’ll be a better manager for his EPL lessons. I’d take him in a heartbeat”
I wouldn’t.
I’d give him serious consideration …. IF there was a vacancy.
As for Brendan, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed a slight increase in his name dropping of Dermot in his media conferences since last summer.
I know nothing of the specific leadership dynamic at Celtic Park.
As a general observation though, I’d expect the guy at the top of the football operation (regardless of how much autonomy they have) to channel closely, directly and regularly through the CEO and the CFO.
I can well understand why public suggestions of circumvention could be interpreted as disrespectful.
This board will take us backwards if we’re not carefull.
Weeron,
He did win the second best European trophy.People forget,he lost more than half. his best players in a catastrophic injury crisis in the EPL.
I love Brendan, but if he does not sign an ex tension we have a problem.Would take Ange back in a minute as a successor, unless some of the experts on here, acting like that mob, have their head filled with bling..Think Ange is older and wiser.
Still,in Brendan I trust.Does not mean I will listen to pish.
Ange built the base team which has dominated Scottish football this past 4 years from scratch.
He also won our only treble in that period.
He was up against a well resourced and confident rangers which had won the league at a canter in the previous year.
He had to rebuild our team who were losing some key players.
He did all the above whilst making money in the transfer market …. Even on many of the weaker early signings !
He also gave me some of the most enjoyable and exciting football to watch in my 63 years.
Like Paul I would welcome him back in a heartbeat.
Quite why folk see this as a dig against our current manager who has not done quite so well in any of the metrics mentioned I don’t know. Only a European CL achievement of last 24 helped by a favourable draw would suggest the current man is doing any better.
The football is not as enjoyable. The trophies are fewer and the squad is weaker now.
If you are happy then it is up to you. It is nothing to do with Lawwell or anything else folk feel bitter about. Simply how other folks who are not as blindsided by game playing see it.
Ange never played the support. He was clear on his ambition from day 1. He spent his time seeking to get it right on the park.
Back to Basics
How many other clubs in Scotland, or indeed the world, have employed the same manager twice 3 different times ?
Seems we are doing it more than almost any others to me.
I may be mistaken though lol.

worth a listen, with David Low.
so being a main srtand box holder, and 4 seats in the main stand he tells us that the 15 “boxes” are getting £100k refurbishment. I am convinced the footprint freed up by departments moving to Barrowfield, will be reconfigured to allow hosting spaces on uefa nights.
So, that would aslo suggest there will be no stadium expansion anytime soon.
Fat cats to get bled for their fortunes, ordinary punters can wait.
anyone heard of the fans survey outcomes ? thought not.
£100 x 15 boxes – £1.5m big deal.
It wouldn’t matter what metrics are used, some people have a dislike distrust a know better attitude towards our Manager Brendan Rodgers, none are of have been a Football Manager capable of winning Leagues Cups and competing in the Champions League, no one is perfect but this board is getting the message out seeds of dissent are being floated and I think with the intention of undermining the Boss. What is for sure this executive is capable of wasting any situation by their decisions. CelticViewQuickNews with a feed from the board is this blog site.
I liked Ange his football was attractive and fitted Celtic. I did get annoyed as no plan B was used. I would also have him back
However Brendan is in post at least for another season and Ange won’t hang around waiting. I wouldn’t mind him getting the Scotland job. I really liked his way of responding to the press. Treated them like the idiots they are.
Brendan could sign an extension and be here for longer. He also needs to develop a planB. If we ever can reach the top level in Europe then we need a Manager who can be more flexible.
Brendan is Dermots go to man at Celtic and he speaks with Brendan directly more often than CEO or Chairman.
Brendan makes all the big calls like who is the manager. He doesn’t listen to Paul 67 nor Nicolson. Peter Law well is not consulted on team matters either.
One of my customers bought materials from my company and is working on the upgrade of the suits / boxes in the main stand and advised me it’s long overdue.
I don’t recall Brendan getting a ‘haste ye back’ message when he left for Leicester ?
As much as I like Ange as a character , I don’t have much time for either players or coaching staff who see us as a stepping stone to the EPL . I suspect Ange would see coming back as a backward step . Unlike Brendan .

That’s Snp brainwashing talk along the lines of krankie diktats were if you say anything against the party (no matter how corrupt or degenerate the party is ) then you are no longer fit to be in the party.
Brendan thinks that he is above having to learn things, no matter how many 0-5, 0-6, 0-7, etc CL humiliations he presides over, he does the same thing over again, because he thinks that 60,000 fans are brainwashed to the “Praise Brendan = Good Fan, Criticism Brendan = Bad Fan” narrative = obey the clique or your blackballed as a troll.
Best narrative creators were the Jungle, who if still around in 2014 before Scottish Indy Referendum, the Jungle would have educated 60,000 outlooks with sporadic chants of “Salmond’s an Orange Bassa, Krankie’s an Orange bassa” etc, etc.
Indeed had the Jungle been around in 2017 for UK GE, The Jungle would have had 60,000 Tims singing “OH JEREMY CORBYN” and making Jeremy Corbyn the Prime Minister, JC was 2,000 votes short of becoming PM in 2017 UK GE, whilst 60,000 Tims voted for Snp/Greens Orange bassas.
JC would have deployed George Galloway as his Media attack dog ands taught empty head Tims how to ask AND answer questions, and most Fake Journalists would still be in prison for treason against 70 Million British People.
Covid19 Plandemic Genocide Scam would not have been able to be pulled by the WEF, WHO, EU, USA, etc, or JC and his many Working Class Comrades abroad would have stopped it in its tracks and arrested the perpetrators and seized all of their ill begotten assets and distributed them to the people in most need.
If Tims had voted for JC instead of the Jezzabelles, then Ireland would have been Reunited, the Birds would be singing in the trees, and there would be a peaceful 2 State solution in the Middle East which has now been utterly destroyed, Billionaires would have been outlawed, Football clubs would be owned by fans which Fergus the Liar promised then denied back in the day and the abhorent David Lowe has yet to call out Fergus’s betrayal of Celtic fans in 1994.
Hmmm.
All of the above has been crushed because Thatcher pulled a stunt at Hillsborough 1989 RIP 97 Liverpool Lads, and put Tory, Capitalist, Lazy assed seats, into stadiums, and now Photo-Id Tickets and a £1-2,000 Iphone to access your ticket to get into Football stadiums meaning no Rebellious Uprising potential from the Jungle, Stretford End, or the Kop, strongholds, and because Celtic fans voted for krankie instead of Jeremy Corbyn.
God Bless the Trolls CSC
Coco Gauff fighting back against ….The Grunt
Seems to me that Ange was not the only one incapable of adapting to a changing environment
Steve Clarke looks and acts like he has been struck by a meteor, John Swinney claims he has ‘made progress’ but not enough progress, while our host yearns for the memories and times of a fast disappearing past, and it has to be said of an even faster disappearing future.
