Darwin’s ‘survival of the fittest’ quote doesn’t actually mention the fittest:
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
Being able and prepared to rapidly abandon your ways to thrive in a new reality is a lesson many of us learn.
Ange Postecoglou changed his ways during last season, but not before he became a caricature of intransigence. Tottenham’s faults were not all his, but he owned this particular fragility. Spurs because Darwinism in action.
Celtic seem to re-employ managers on a predictable loop. So he might be back. He’ll be a better manager for his EPL lessons. I’d take him in a heartbeat.

The racist scumbag that is posting vomit about draining a swamp is a sympathizer to the less than 1% of unionist puppeteered racist who follow their northern hero Jim Dowson with tricolour flegs yet none can tell you they want a united ireland.
Same old empire, always manipulating, and they are failing badly.Conor the rapist paid for buses to Cotk yesterday for the vile racists to be outnumbered 10to1.
Yeh Kev can krankie up his racism, his every post shows fear, ignorance and racism towards those with a different skin pigment, all in defence of a union that is breaking up.It is matched only by his tutter confusion to vaccinations all the ehile never leaving Blant’R. Katherine J Bermingham – Cork, Ireland
“It’s time for the Irish Government to acknowledge that Woke is over. Nations like Sweden, Italy, and the Netherlands are standing up against globalization and mass immigration. Irish families are protesting with “Enough is enough!” while facing suppression from government media control, which raises urgent concerns about the state of independent journalism.”

Epic final at the tennis

Cheers for that, I daresay the wee fellow could string a few lines of poetry together. I hadn’t heard of Ross Priory, will check that out, always love hearing about these forgotten places. I find the name Ross very interesting in Scotland from Wester to Easter and of course The Rosses in Donegal.
The turnip shroud.

Emailed P67 before to get his router IP address and ban it, I know if you have the intelligence you can mask it, don’t think he’s in that territory though 😅🤣😂

Good evening all from Heraghtys. May even stray into the Allison Arms. 😁
If I have any money left. 😳
One of the Spanish players is playing with a pineapple 🍍 on his head, remarkable 👌
Saint Stivs on 8th June 2025 2:00 pm,
I watch from the top tier and they don’t even bother painting the walls, never mind art work. Albeit there is some in bottom tier. A lot of the counter tops where food is sessioned is warpt. Like the main stand the upper north does not have hot water etc.
I accept they likely spend 2 million a year on upkeep of stadium and i do see improvement from time to time but the thing is they have profits of plus 30 million the last 3 seasons and have paid in excess of 10 million in tax each year whilst doing only the very basics in the stadium.
I can’t think of any businesses that prefer to pay massive amounts of tax over improving facilities and services which in turn generates more wealth and better customer satisfaction. The 30 million in taxes these past 3 years could have totally transformed celtic park beyond recognition.
The north, west ans south stands are operational about 5% of the year so there is plenty of scope and time between fames and off season to transform the place.
Done stadium tour in Benfica years ago and walked right round the stadium with a focus at each end of it. That is how you do a stadium tour but requires something to see at each end. We are celtic, we have amassed lots of artifacts that could be on display right round the lower and stadium concourse.

You come from Kilmarnock. You wouldn’t know a pineapple even if it was on yer ain heid.

KT out of Scotland squad, don’t think anything serious, total waste of time anyway

*Its on the shores of Loch Lomond adjacent to Gartocharn, it originally belonged to the Buchanan family of nearby Drymen but changed hands and development though the years, in 1925, the Leith-Buchanan’s male line finally died out and the house was leased to Major George J.H. Christie, a veteran of World War I, remaining in the family’s possession until shortly after the Major’s death.
Christie, a businessman with interests in the local textile industry, purchased the estate in 1949 and lived there until 1969, he was responsible for the development and cultivation of the Priory’s surrounding gardens, it was sold to the University of Strathclyde in 1971.
Although I lived very close by and used to cycle up to Gartocharn a lot as a boy, pinching apples etc lol, I never took much interest in it until my mother told me of a cousin of hers who had a room named after him for his edifying involvement with the Uni, so I took a visit up there when I was last over which is how I learned of Sir Walter Scott.
Looking at the VAR decision tonight at the Portugal goal, how clear was that, compared to the nick of the lines used at Hampden last night.Even the commentary team said” Make of that what you will”.A disgrace.
BRRB,
I stayed next house to the guy that played for Forest at the time, who had a Pineapple on his napper.
Don’t think he knew either.
Jason Lee?
He got pelters about that after Baddiel and Skinner made a joke about it on the original Fantasy Football programme.
Wee incident in the game there reminded me of the very old joke about Nayim being the most virile footballer in the world as he could lob Seaman over 50 yards.
I hope KT chucks international football, he should seriously think about it
Spain put reserve GK on for penalties
Ronaldo trying his hardest to cry…

By coincidence the SS Sir Walter Scott sailed on Loch Katrine on its 125th anniversary sailing, just two days ago on June 6th with a boat loaded wth local school children, part of a three day steamboat festival* on the famous loch.
You probably know more about the ship than me, but I was fascinated to find out that though built in Dumbarton trialled on the Firth of Clyde, was dismantled and shipped first by barge and then by horse drawn cart to Loch Katrine where it was re-assembled as a permanent steam powered ship.
*not to be confused with the ‘steamboats festival’ held every two weeks by BRRB et al
