McGEADY JOINS HOOPER AT WEDNESDAY

FORMER Celtic winger Aiden McGeady has agreed a loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.
And the Republic of Ireland international will team up with another ex-Parkhead favourite Gary Hooper, who joined the Yorkshire club in a £3.5million move from Norwich City last month.
McGeady, who has made just one first team start for Everton this season, had also been linked with a return to the Hoops.
However, boss Ronny Deila made it clear the SPFL champions couldn’t afford his wages.
The 29-year-old attacker is aware Martin O’Neill is unlikely to select players for his Euro 2016 squad who are not getting regular first team games for their club sides.
Paul Lambert was also interested in taking him to Blackburn Rovers, but the player has chosen the Hillsborough outfit.
McGeady won four Premier League titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups during his six years with the Glasgow giants.
Spartak Moscow paid £9.5million to sign the flanker in 2010 and, after scoring 13 goals in 93 appearances for the Russian side, he returned to the UK with Everton for an undisclosed fee in January 2014.
Roberto Martinez pursued McGeady while he was gaffer at Wigan. He refused to give up and took him to Goodison, but the player failed to make the expected impact.
