HIBS boss Alan Stubbs insists he has not given up hope of re-signing Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch.

The Hoops star spent last season on loan at Easter Road and was a huge success as the club finished second in the Championship before missing out on promotion via the play-offs.

The Parkhead side have since taken up an option to extend the 22-year-old’s contract for another season, but the Hibs boss admitted he will continue to keep tabs on McGeouch’s position at the SPFL champions.

The former Hoops skipper said:  “Dylan is a Celtic player and we will continue to monitor that situation. If he was to become available then I’m sure Hibs would be interested.”
Ronny Deila is expected to have a look at the player in pre-season games before making a decision on where McGeouch will perform in the new campaign.
