CELTIC are two points behind leaders Hearts with eight games to go after a pivotal day in the Premiership.
The champions came back from a goal down to beat Motherwell 3-1 at Parkhead earlier this afternoon.
All eyes were then on Rugby Park where the Edinburgh side were in action against Kilmarnock at 8pm – and it was good news for Martin O’Neill’s men as the Tynecastle side crashed 1-0 to Neill McCann’s outfit.
A 17th-minute goal from Michael Schjonning-Larsen was the difference between the teams in a towsy encounter in Ayrshire.

ROARING SUCCESS…two-goal Yang Hyun-jun.
He claimed the only goal when the visitors’ defence was left exposed with a neat ball from Greg Kiltie to the far post and the Killie player supplied the killer touch.
It was an unhappy return to Rugby Park for Hearts boss Derek McInnes who could only look on in discomfort as his team failed to get back on even terms.
Earlier in the day, the champions responded to going a goal behind to an Elijah Just strike to claim the points with a double from Yang Hyun-jun and a penalty-kick from Tomas Cvancara.
The Hoops now play Dundee United at Tannadice a week tomorrow while Hearts will be at home to Dundee on Saturday.
