If you aggregate the nods, winks and rumours around Celtic this week you might be inclined to think we’re in the market for a target-man striker with a few years’ experience under his belt. I agree with the principle that we need a target man and I’m also of the view that short-term deals are not nearly as desirable as permanent contracts, but as we know, it’s too easy to load the club full of squad players who cumulatively cost a lot of money but scarcely trouble the first team.
Hooper, Stokes, Samaras, Bangura, Rasmussen and Murphy are all under contract for next season and we cannot be confident of attracting bids for any of those Neil Lennon might want to move on. If we add a seventh striker, his name better be on the team sheet before Gary Hooper’s. Signing an exotic version of Daryl Murphy would add spice to our week but would only consume scarce resources. I’d rather not.
Co-opting a media partner works in theory. It’s always better to have good relationships with the media than the kind of relationships Celtic perennially have, but what happens when your media partner plays with a straight bat?
Rangers media partner, STV, today report Nigerian trialist, Michael Uchebo, boarded a plane out of Glasgow a few hours after arriving (Michael, they have taken you away….) as the VVV-Venlo striker with 8 career goals to his name had “a poor first impression of” Rangers.
Michael, you clearly have a rubbish strike rate but you’re a remarkably perceptive individual.

CHORUS
I’m all lost in the transfer market
I can no longer dodge happily
I came in here for that special offer
A tax-free transfer fee
I wasn’t born so much as I fell out
Nobody seemed to notice me
We had a lodge back home in the suburbs
We dreamed of invincibility
Davy Moonbeams he caused all these problems
Up to our knees in discrepancies
Fat Paul Le Guen, that’s what they call me
Up to our knees in dodgy transfer fees
I heard the people who lived in the East end
Scream and fight most scarily
Hearing that noise was a terrible feeling
So we signed with the loyal STV
I’m all tuned in, I hear all the programmes
Daryl and Hugh and Graeme too
They’re talking nonsense but no-one believes them
Terry calls and they dunno what to do
Juan Ortiz, Alejandro Bedoya
Sone Aluko and Matt Mackay
What the heck was Craigy boy thinking
I canny sign the players I want to buy
Let’s buy, Francisco Sandaza
He can sign on the twelth of July
Don’t mention Spain or the walks in the sunshine
Benidorm no surrender we did cry
Think of Frankie, just what is his answer?
He’s a Tim from the centre of Spain
We wreck his nation and expect him to love us
He’ll likely do a Goodwullie again
Bendik-sonn, he is gone
Al McGregor’s off tae Malaga
Murray Park where are the diamonds
Gotta pawn just hang on
Gordon Smith, to sunny Rio
Least he got trip for free
What do I get, nothing but problems
Fae our buddies at HMRC
RTC thinks he’s a legend
He tells the hoards all that we do
And more than that, he is a mystic
He tells all before the case goes through
The kids in halls and the pipes in the walls
Make me noises for company
Long distance callers make long distance calls
And the silence makes me lonely
The roads are damaged, the troops need our finance
The orange walks will be a sombre affair
We owe the queen at least fifty million
It wisnae me miss, I wisnae there
No so bad if it wisnae for Ledley
And that wee bawbag fae Lurgan town
We nearly did it, we nearly made it
But as it is, we’re surely goin down
He tried to warn us, he tried to tell us
That wee tadger Phil Mac Giolla Bhan
When I find him, am gonny show him
He’s the one we’ll try to blame it on
They’re at the door, the bailiffs are coming
No more billy boys to see
Goodbye goodbye and on your way out
Turn off the lights, throw away the key
CHORUS
I’m all lost

I tried to post about 10 times to say no problemo to BT earlier but it wasn’t registering. I had posted a youtube link, I think just beforehand and my linked name was a youtube link.
I changed my link name away from the youtube link I had and changed it to a blog site I read and I could post again after that.
Debug shouldn’t be too hard from this info but it is indeed a small price to pay for security and if the name links have to go, then they have to go. Nothing will stop CQN, it is open for everyone and anyone and this is a monumental achievement when you look around the web.
off to bed all, keep it lit.

If you catch this
I was in Brixton about 86-90
Went drinking in Streatham a few times but no idea which pubs.
Loved Brixton, really vibrant. And somehow I identified with the black population. I suppose they were the underclass.
Often in the Atlantic there would be about 100 rastas and me. I didnt get into any real trouble.

My wife is North Ayrshire other side as in non dom rather than bigoted hun.
Tonight she finally realised that what the Northern irish Catholics/Nationalists experience is the same as what any other human being being refused their civil liberties has experienced no matter their colour creed or ethnicity.

Top Corner,
About to link your excellent film for the kitalba to see if he can see the Maestro pass? ;)
Top Corners link
The future is very bright for Celtic from the top to the bottom. I said this season was not about winning anything back when we were looking like losing all, this season was about standing shoulder to shoulder with Neil and Celtic fans have done that. The enemy has made us stronger.
It is amazing to be a part of a Club that does not put winning above doing the right thing.
Celtic Song.
have not posted for a long while, so hi to every one,
but over on filthy, filthy they are getting really down at the thought of the polish guy signing for us,the first page has them getting really excited and saying he looks brilliant and would
tear up the spl, then on second page it filters through that he looks like he will be signing for us and they were truly gutted before reverting to type about he is a pole would be better suited to their type , truly amazing how they fall back on this in built sectarian mode to make themselves feel better.
All,
I missed this band’s gig in Glasgow last week – hopefully they will do a few more!
Prospects are good!

is the polish bhoy coming to celtic then?
there is no doubt that hugh keevins is one bitter man, his latest ranting about celtic is just over the top that it can only be through bitterness, you have the other mob totally in a
shambolic state with trialists walking out with in hours and he headlines with “not one penny lenny” dear hugh get over it kenny had shown you up for what you were and still are
a usless crawling hack that in its old age is actually getting more bitter.
