Celtic have been leaking goals at the back in an alarming manner but the cover from midfield has contributed most to the problem.
Injuries have been disruptive but it’s surprising that the team shape has not been maintained, irrespective of who is playing.

The alternative of playing the ball out from the back a la Kenny Shiels and John Hughes also frightens me. I wonder if OPTA stats show that we are particularly prone to long ball kick outs compared with other teams (excluding Killie & Swansea & Barca)

I used to disagree, I always thought we should stay and stand our ground.
The way Scottish football has been for the last few years goes way beyond bias.
We have seen straight forward cheating, one club was about to go bust and the authorities didn’t like it because it was their team, they did everything they could to stop it, everything.
That Club was liquidated despite the authorities subverting their own rules and now we can see them do it again.
So now I agree, the sooner we get out of Scottish football the better.
