If you are going to Celtic Park tomorrow you will see a lot of photos like the one above. Outside the ground 200 bucketeers will be collecting to raise money to send Oscar Knox for treatment for neauroblastoma.
Be prepared. Bring spare cash with you, have it ready and do your bit for Oscar.
For the second week in a row we take on the team at the bottom of the table; see how that worked out last week. After an awful August which saw Dundee’s return to the SPL marked with one point and no goals scored from four games, they picked up three points at Tynecastle before losing a lead late in the game against Motherwell last weekend. Manager Barry Smith will have watched how St Johnstone went about their business six days ago and will believe his team can nick something at Celtic Park.
Neil Lennon (and some of us) will welcome the drop in intensity from Wednesday’s Champions League tie as Celtic are likely to give game time to those who joined the club three weeks ago. Miku, Lassad and Ambrose all need to stretch their legs.
Big shout again for the guys raising money for Celtic Youth Development through TicPick. It’s £1 to enter and you win £1000 for predicting 10 results. I’ve gone for Celtic to beat Dundee, West Ham to beat Sunderland, Aberdeen and Motherwell to draw, Man City to beat Arsenal, St Mirren to beat Killie, Dundee United to beat Hearts, Man Utd to beat Liverpool, Hibs to beat Inverness, Chelsea to beat Stoke and Spurs to beat QPR.

Hamiltontim the gist of it seems to be that the panel led by Nimmo Smith are responding to matters raised by Chuckie & Co as to the panel’s propriety to look into EBTs.
No doubt the excellent sites such as this one, Paul McConville and others will do a synopsis for us lay people.
But I think he is telling the Sevconians that he is entitled to look at EBTs regardless of Chuckie’s bluster.
So Adidas have ‘lost’ Liverpool and Real Madrid have they?
Only half right – they still supply Real Madrid.
They (Adidas) must really be worried at having ‘lost’ Liverpool – that’s why they are in ‘talks’ with Chuckles and his billionaire backers.
HH!!

Thanks – I have the same success rate as yer bhoys!
I would say there will still be enough people left in Sharkeys to ensure a great atmosphere on Sunday.
The Thai Tims link from Riperman was different class.
Have been watching youtube clips (some as long as 18 mins) from the ’92 game to get me in the mood.

I’ve not seen any locks since we used to swim in them in Leeds in the seventies.
I am aware that there has to be some climbing as it goes over the Pennines but generally speaking the canal route is “fairly flat”.

Yep a quick scan would suggest that’s the case. Let’s hope for fireworks!!
Paul67,
That is a superb picture and I agree with the article.
How far away is young Dylan from returning to action? as I’d like the team to have a few of our precocious youngsters in the first team to sharpen the first team regulars minds so that they must perform well in every game.
‘The SPL disputes that Rangers FC ceased to be a Club on 14th June 2012, and argues that the relevant date is 3rd August 2012…’
So its clear then, just the date they’re arguing about!
Best let the RM/FF inmates know

Tomtheleedstim- when are you doin’ your Wiggo?

Wee Oscar made sure there would be a hearty (thumbsup) at the top of the blog today. (thumbsup)
Podium seekers will rejoice at the news that philvis glances at the blog before assuming podia, although scientists at CERN say this is still only a theoretical certainty.
Traditionalist
I think Nimmo accepts that reports of their death were premature but not exaggerated!
page 17 ‘for these reasons we reject the arguments advanced in paragraphs 2 and 6 of the preliminary issues’
ie. Reject the argument that Rangers FC ceased to be a club as defined in the rules? WTF?

Thinking that if I get fit enough I may join you from Manchester to Liverpool. Starting gym on Monday so will keep you posted.

Sevco fans have had trouble attending the right venue recently with some going to Arran rather than Annan.
There is cause for further confusion as to their venue for their match on Sunday

Have you read some of the comments below that blog?
One would assume from the vocabulary, grammar and punctuation of some posters that you could believe that they have a modicum of intelligence.
Then you read it…….deary, deary me.

weather update for the NW/ Blackpool area of engerlund……….

Sea calm…… although it’s no weather related….. It’s indicative of the better than usual weather for the Glesga folk in Blackpool.

I decided to leave the pub early today, I need to have a clear head for the wee Mhan tomorrow.
Simple sacrifice from us Hoops tomorrow…… And I mean everyone who drops a pound in the bucket can help to save a life.
I’ve had text/ emails from a mate from sierra Leonne today and from my son in Aus who want to donate to the cause, my point Is that the Oscars Green bucketeers are reaching out worldwide……..
isn’t it nice to be a Celtic supporter, ye know where love is the ethos, compare that to the Sevco 2012 way.
2nd thoughts my friends, don’t compare ……… They are zombies and the Celtic have heart and soul.

Think those posters would have been challenging even for you:o)
As far as I can see Nimmo Smith is saying that if Oldco broke the rules he can rule on this and Newco can be held liable to accept any sanction that arises.
Strathclyde Police have confiscated hundreds of copies of Shaun Of the Dead DVDs after complaints about the sectarian killing of zombies.
BBC Scotland have also announced that they will not be screening this weeks episode of Dr. Who just in case it features zombies or daleks.
“we have not seen the episode but we fear it may feature offensive material”
“…ceased to be a club.”
NIMMOSMITHCSC
A deid ass……..what other mode of transport would a zombie use?
Neil Alexander,” this isn’t the same Rangers team from two years, five years or ten years ago.”That’s what we’ve been trying to tell you all for months now,
The status of the company and when it expired seems to be academic as it is the football club and the relationship between the football club and the SPL at the time of the EBT (before admin) that Nimmo will rule on and liability for past actions transfer to Newco.
Hope I am right.
IniquitousIV, Tully57
Be careful some of that info not completely up to date
eg. Players lounge(Stokeys bar) used to be a good venue for Celtic matches but was burnt down last year yet is still listed

Big Nan
Just the bit I pointed out that they reject the arguments advanced in paragraphs 2 and 6 that they cease to be a club – hope I’m picking it up wrong…haven’t read the full doc so this is likely!
Off now anyway, 3-0 the Bhoys tomorrow
