Mind the Kayal Gap

794

Neil Lennon, his goalkeeper and defenders will not be too concerned at the loss of their first goal in domestic football yesterday since Noah was a boy.  John Rankin’s pot-shot from 20-odd yards clipped the post on its way in but the Dundee United player scored from an area of the field that is usually vigorously monitored by Beram Kayal.

We’re going to miss that guy……

This mob are on their knees.A top striker will finish them off.

If we dont provide Lennon with the tools to finish them off,ie with a proven goalscorer then we deserve all we get if this shower come back and win it.

I remember there was talk of him donating £1.5m towards a training complex under certain conditions. I can’t remember what they were, but they obviously weren’t met.

I wonder would there have been much benefit if he had built it.

Especially in the years that Lennoxtown has been there, it is really only in the last couple that we are beginning to see the benefit.

There is more to an academy than grass and goalposts. It’s the people and policy that make it work or not.

I believe that it is only now that we appear to be getting it right.

Whether by luck or coincidence, there appears to be a structure in place, where, not only are we attracting young talent, but that talent is being given the chance to progress. It may be due to Neil Lennon’s knowledge of these boys from his time as Development coach.

Prior to this, there was an enormous turnover in boys.

In short and in hindsight, I don’t think an academy would have served us all that well immediately post Fergus.

MON certainly wasn’t interested in kids.

I may be a prat or a fud or whatever you want to call me.

But I understand the difference between Administration and Liquidation.

    You evidently don’t.

  4. Who is Newco? Does it exist? If it does exist, or comes into being in February, March, April or May, what claim does it have to a place in the SPL?

These things are very clear. If Newco is Rangers and wants to play in Rangers’s stadium in front of Rangers’s fans, it must pay Rangers’s bills.

If it’s not Rangers, let it join the queue of clubs waiting to join the SLF in division three.

What part of this is difficult?

  5. Margaret McGill on

Yeah.. that reminds me..remember they Daily retard compared Fergus to Saddam much to Scotlands amusement…Newco..???? Newco… GTF!

    Ernie,

As much as you and I want the Huns to go into utter oblivion.Yer right. No chance the Celtic Board will vote them out.NO CHANCE.

  7. Jame Vardy just tweeted that he has just arrived in Glasgow tonight.

We’re good thanks. What a result for the young man. Weren’t you concerned about that one?

  9. Burnley78

Very much aware of Clarences deep respect for Celtic and the fans in particular. Envy your opportunity to extol our virtues to him.

    Hail Hail Hail

I know that it is all hypothetical but my great concern is that were Celtic to state intention to resign in the given circumstances then those in charge of the SPL would allow us to do so.

As I stated the other day if the authorities have a choice between us or the huns then its au revoir Celtic.

    Fergus favourites

It seems that in the days of rebuilding at Parkhead, Fergus met with some opposition from local residents along Janefield street when the main stand was finally erected at CP. Apparently, residents were experienceing difficulty with their TV reception due to the increased height of the new stadium and demanded a meeting with the Celtic chairman to resolve the issue.

Fergus obliged and met up with the locals and their reps. When the meeting started the angry mob hurled abuse at him and demanded immediate action.

“Fine” said Fergus. “I’ll put the antenna on the roof of the stadium and boost the signal to your houses”.

The reps then consulted with the mob and said it wasn’t enough and demanded compensation.

After consulting his lawyers and the club’s accountants he added the offer of £150 per household to the stadium roof antenna offer.

The reps went away once more and returned having accepted it.

Fergus then arranged that all the residents sign a legally binding agreement waiving their right to additional compensation after the offer had been honoured, and a queue duly formed.

When all the signatures were collected he made an announcement just afore the meeting closed.

He thanked everyone for coming and being open with their views. Then he added, ” now if everyone could return here on Monday I will personally issue cheques to everyone affected – as long as you bring along your current TV licence.”

Monday arrived and not one person turned up to collect their cheque and Fergus never did put up the antenna…

    Re Jamie Vardy

A quick search put up a 3 day old story in the Daily Mail with the Huns interested in him. If he’s worth having and it comes to a bidding war…

  13. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!! Tick Tock !! on

Margaret McGill……most posters, however, are respectful……Ernie takes the debate to a new low level, which greatly reduces his credibility….see his response to me as evidence….LOL….!!!!…

.I get the impression he has another agenda, as do a few others, but that’s OK, as long as he remembers the ‘respect of others’ his mother taught him…..he’s beginning to sound like keevins, but not quite yet…!!

The only way that the SPL can justify to HMRC, FIFA, UEFA and the world in general a decision to admit a newco huns straight into the SPL is that the SPL needs the money generated by the presence of the Old Firm to survive.

That is the only excuse they would have.

We can remove that excuse from them before they get a chance to use it.

And the fans were going balistic? They may as well just hand the title to Real now. :))))

  18. If the Old Firm ever existed it will cease to exist when Rangers die. If Newco says it is taking Rangers’s place in the mythical Old Firm, the first thing it has to do is get its chequebook out and start paying Rangers’s unpaid bills.

The question for Newco is: who, quintessentially are you? If you are Rangers, please give your immediate attention to these bills. If you are not Rangers, the queue of clubs waiting to join SFL division three is over here. Thank you.

    Exactly!

What I love the most about Fergus is that NO ONE seen him coming…

    And when he did they (the media) didn’t have a clue how yo deal with him apart from ridicule;;;

    who is laughing now?

    Hail! Hail!

  20. James Forrest is Lennon on

He’s been playing in the lower leagues of England mate.

At 25 years old, if it was there – if anything was there – he’d have been well out of there by now.

Not what’s required? If he’s in Glasgow for talks with us I’ll be OFFENDED.

  21. Ten Men Won The League on

If Jamie Vardy is indeed in Glasgow on footballing business, then i would imagine it is for talks with us

If it was for the Huns their website would have been full of it already, and also if they can’t afford Sandaza for £300k then where on earth did they find a £1m for Vardy?

Unless someone has been sold? ;)

  22. HT

The powers that be in scotland hate us for sure, but said powers know than a bankrupt hun and no Celtic is the death of pro football in scotland, the other clubs would then grow a pair.

A few of us have been saying for a while that the threat of resignation would be enough, and it will.

Uefa have a duty to uohold it’s rules and if their fair play rules are being flouted they will intervine, they will have no choice.

  23. Bidding war – doubt the tax dodging huns could pay more than he gets in the Conference. Maybe the starting bid will be asking him to pay his own wages like that wee diving fud they got from the sheep.

I admitted the other day that my knowledge on these matters is much less than yours so please be patient with me.

Does the decision to readmit a newco not come from the 5 man SPL board?

If so and they opt to vote in favour of readmittance then why would the SPL need to ‘justify’ it to either FIFA or EUFA?
