CELTIC misfit Marco Tilio is on his way to Rapid Vienna for a reported £1.3million fee.
Remarkably, the Australian international winger played only TWENTY-EIGHT minutes of competitive football in his two years at the club following his arrival from Melbourne City.
Initially, it looked as though the move would be on a temporary basis, but a permanent switch is now the preferred option and Tilio is eager to seal the deal in an effort to get much-needed game-time in Austria, according to Sky Sports.
Tilio, who was left out of Brendan Rodgers’ Champions League squad for the play-off games against Kairat Almaty, had also been linked to his former Aussie club who had been keen to take the forward back for a third stint.

NOW YOU SEE ME…Marco Tilio in a rare Celtic appearance.
However, the 23-year-old wideman has opted to remain in Europe in an effort to revitalise his career.
Tilio’s only brief outings for the Hoops came in cameo appearances in the 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Parkhead in November 2023 and a 4-1 home win over Hibs the following month.
He was a surprise starter in Rodgers’ side in the 3-2 loss in the closed-doors encounter against Estrela da Amadora at Benfica’s training campus last month.
However, Tilio didn’t enjoy much good fortune since arriving on these shores and was immediately put into cold storage shortly after sealing his five-year contract when it was discovered he was suffering from a torn quad thigh muscle.
He had to wait FIVE months before he could make his debut in the stalemate with the Fir Park club.
Tilio first attracted the attention of Celtic with 20 goals and 19 assists in 86 appearances for Melbourne City when he helped them win the title, but, unfortunately, he failed to reproduce that sort of form in Glasgow.
