I think if we had appointed a manager earlier he would have had more time to assess the squad during competitive games and target players to bring in. He would probably also have been able to improve fitness and any tactical changes he would want to employ.

Sevco took seven off this lot two years ago and could have scored 14. If we keep on this trajectory, eliminated by AEK, Cluj, Ferencvaros, and Midtjylland, we will soon be getting papped out by a team from Andorra, Kosovo, or Liechtenstein. Again spot on from Turks.
Waiting 105 days was genius from the board, none of this appoint a new manager quickly tosh, like Chelsea done after they replaced Lampard with Tuchel, when all they had to show for it was a pidling Champions League win.
You can see just how well thought out the 105 day delay helped Ange, as he had a fantastic set of subs to call on tonight due to the fantastic vision of the board.
Dane was my MOTM – incredible energy in ET – JK was so exciting when he was Breaking through, Celtic have Hopefully been Nurturing the Greatest CH ever by exposing him to that environment. The Bhoy was, as the missed 16 Roads would say, also Davie Hay, Soupherb.
Apparently we are in a position to take advantage of the current economic issues facing a lot of clubs throughout the world – paraphrasing Dom here, and yet here we are with the manager getting further frustrated as some guy, who won at monopoly, tries to impress by scrimping and haggling when we need players now, anyone bought now wouldn’t be able to play till nearer the middle of August, we could, stress could be, already behind in the league, out of 3 competitions by then.
It’s not rocket science to see where the biggest issue is, it’s our pathetic recruitment process.
Shame is a good word for where we find ourselves tonight.

As bad as tonight has been, it could be worse next week. We’re really up against it given the state of the squad and are staring down the barrel of failing to make even the Europa Cup group stage.
Tomorrow, I hope Eddie is sold and we get some players in very quickly.
A new keeper is a must for the Europa qualifier next Thursday. If we’re playing Bain or Barkas in the Czech Republic then hell mend us.

So you say that the board don’t concern you, but even though they don’t bother you, it actually bothers you when people give reasons for their incompetence.
Strange contradictions.
Most people give reasons for their decrying of the board on here, and they are reasoned and well intentioned.
You don’t like it and only want to hear good news and happy thoughts about our club.
