MJALLBY ENVIES DEILA

FORMER Celtic No.2 Johan Mjallby has admitted how he envied Ronny Deila – when it comes to buying players.
Neil Lennon’s assistant boss has revealed the advantages he had when he was with the Hoops, especially in the transfer market.
The Swede said: “I think it is a harder job than we had at Celtic, although you still have to be clever in that department.
“Celtic is a massive club and you had the lure of Europe, but the SPFL is maybe not viewed as that attractive without Rangers or any competition.

“I think we are more or less going into the same markets when you compare Celtic and Bolton.”

Lennon and Mjallby, who quit the Glasgow giants last season, took over at the Championship outfit in October.
They are rebuilding the team for a tilt at promotion to the Premier League next season, but, without the prestigious name of Celtic, they are struggling to convince targets that the Macron Stadium is the right destination.
