    Nerves shredded as usual. Glad to see Efe playing.

     

     

    I was living in Holland when the great Johan Cruijff was making his name in the game. He was the best of his countrymen but there were some other great players like Neeskens and the man who destroyed us in Milan, Wim van Hanegem. Still, they could not lace di Stefano or Puskas’ boots, never mind Pele, imo. But what memories of football being played as it should be.

     

     

    I think the funniest thing at the moment is the deid team’s manager calling for protection for his players. Doesn’t he know that his team’s players have been allowed to wreak havoc against every other team for ever and a day, while the SMSM have turned a blind eye or encouraged them to “get tore intae these people”, especially if they are wearing green and white jerseys. Still, if it means that the MIBs start playing by the rules for every team, I am all for it.
