It looks like Hibs will take 7,000 fans to Celtic Park for the Scottish Cup quarterfinal on Sunday, which will be the biggest travelling support to visit in many years. It also equates to around half their average home supporter attendance; there is belief and commitment to the Hibernian cause, with good reason.
Bayern Munich’s progress to the Champions League quarterfinals looks assured after a 3-0 home win over Bayer Leverkusen last night. The German league leaders relied on a last gasp equaliser at home to Celtic last month to reach this stage of the competition.
Four clubs from outside the big five leagues reached the last stage of the competition. Each of them lost at home this midweek. PSV Eindhoven take a 1-7 score to Arsenal on Wednesday. We have our hard luck story in this season’s competition, but the reality is that the resources needed for a genuinely deep dive into the Champions League only exist in the monied leagues.

I hope their big support encourages them to come out and attack 👍

Our traffic situation is horrendous. No wonder many fans leave early.
I trust that any GCC councillors heading to the game will follow the advice issued by the council to their employees to use the cycle lanes.
Does Susan Aitken our council leader like footie ?
Hh.
I’m very sure Celtic will be desperate for Sunday, the point dropped at Easter Road was another mysterious intervention from the VAR officials, although I was hearing something to the contrary. Put it right by as many as possible and get into the semis.
St Stivs. 3.15
Used to cycle here when we were boys then onto Abies Loch for a swim …some interesting history you may already know about Milngavie reservior

GP- I don’t think she goes a bike….
Re match traffic,
GCC have now started fining drivers for parking half on pavements.
Might be a good idea to be careful at the weekend as the streets around Celtic Park area will be a cash cow for them if they pay plod or wardens for issuing tickets on a Sunday.
Hope you chaps are cheering on the Scottish coefficient tonight…
and to follow on from the end of paul67’s article – which implies we did outstandingly well to get where we got and give it a go.
I see this achievement as ten plus years in the making – the model, the stadium, backroom team, the fans, surviving and flourishing the biggest cheat in sporting history, recruiting modern managers…….
What is the Starz
Nope, hoping they are given an absolute spirit crushing doing.
And that’s just in the first half.
Aipple .. you are an absolute star for keeping alive the memory of a true patriotic Irishman ..I only hope those heartless bastards get their justice in the next life 🙏
candidate for quote of the year already

“However, so was our UCL draw this season, which was anything but easy.”
It was rated the easiest draw before the competition by the Opta computer. It was the third or fourth easiest by opponents points gained after the completion of the group stage.
As I explalned to you previously we underperformed based on the opposition we faced.
We were due some luck, Brendan was due some luck, hopefully the improvement was saw since Dortmund carries on next season, because we’re very unlikely to be that lucky again.
The play off opposition doesnt look anythink like as intimidating as we’ve been up against before, Celtic internet tells you that we’re due to play one of FC Basel, Qarabag, Slovan Bratislava, Ludogorets Razgrad, or Sturm Graz, but it won’t stop us all having that knot in our stomachs in the Summer.
McCoist again😩
Yay…Coefficient leads
I thought this Turkish lot were meant to be half decent??
Poor lot
Hun goal was a joke in Fenerbache defending.
VAR was good, wish we had that.
I have never forgiven Jose for Seville, so not that bothered to see his team playing shite.
Here we go .
Every team the Darnel do well against in Europe are mince.
I heard similar bias from current buns after our draw in Munich .
Bayern are mince.
It’s tiresome.
TT
I’ll tel you another thing .
I wish Idah scored as many goals as Dessers.

“It was rated the easiest draw before the competition by the Opta computer”
I find that bizarre, a group comprised of CL finalist, EL winners and two ConL semi finalists 🙄
That was a propper head butt
Goal 1:1
Well that ball didn’t look over the line
TT my observations were a snapshot at the time.
I said they defended poorly for the goal – they did and that they started shite – they did.
I expect them to win this game but if the hun do, then they deserve it. (they won’t).
TT
👍
TT
OK, they might!
Good goal Cerny
Huns score a again, great counter attack tbh
Hmmmm…..the “special one” struggling/slow to adapt to Baz &Co’s tactics.
Blogger….Bazza must stay!
I hope Propper is fit for next Sunday
I picked the wrong day to give up Turkish delight.
Mourinho being shown up here. Fenerbache look a very badly coached team. They seemingly only work on crosses into the box because they’ve done eff all else that half. Try and play some actual football in the second half, Jose. Trust me, you’re not up against much.
