I was out of mobile phone range for most of yesterday and returned to read more histrionics. On Tuesday I wrote: “Whatever ‘good news’ Duff and Phelps come out with later”, knowing full well (you all knew too) that news of Bill Miller’s departure would soon be countered by a fantastic (literally) piece of optimism from Rangers administrators. They didn’t disappoint.
Today’s Guardian tells us that one bidder has “proved to Duff and Phelps they have a means of securing current owner Craig Whyte’s shares.”
Administrator, David Whitehouse, explains: “One of the bids is for a stand-alone CVA and there are a number of hurdles which need to be overcome. Our view is that it is challenging, but it is not impossible. The purchaser who is talking to us about a stand-alone CVA has demonstrated to us that they have got a mechanism where Craig Whyte’s shares are not an issue.”
Ah, the illusive mechanism! So Craig Whyte is irrelevant again.
We are three months into the process, Craig Whyte is no more irrelevant today than he was on 14 February, he remains the Only Show in Town. Once he stops being the main event, HMRC take top billing. After them, the players will have their 15 minutes of ‘action’. Then you will hear more of the story. If there is anything left after all this, the SPL and SFA will have their say.
Prior to appointing Bill Miller preferred bidder Duff and Phelps explained why a stand-along CVA was no longer possible. No amount of creative thinking will change this fact. The season ends on Sunday, Rangers last chance to pull a deal together passed on Monday, when Duff and Phelps were unable to present a proposal to the SPL.
Even IF a phoenix is assembled for next season, or the season after that, it will be a humbled shell of what was once Rangers.
Rangers Football Club is disintegrating and will do so at an increasing rate in the weeks ahead. Again, cease and desist with the adolescent hysteria. Chill. Go for a walk in the rain and spare a thought for those football fans with genuine worries.

Celtic Statement.
No change here.
Still watching and waiting.
Although I have been promised an education in how to read statements meaningfully by a Carluke Shammy bod. Do hope it’s not BJmac as I’m sure I’ll be wiser than nane.

Genuinely worried as FPLG has not come out and told about the fantastic conversations he has had with the bidders.
Just wondering if anyone on here was a Creditor what they would think of Duff&Duffer phoning Ng 20 times and tellinghim to submit a bid worth 50% less.
I thought sir Walter was looking for a job in English football
what happened to that plan
oh got it, nobody offered him one
Just had a wee look on the fallow fallow site. These guys are really sad. I know it has been said before but their hatred and bile is concerning. They blame us for all that has gone wrong with their club; we control the SPL/sfl, the talk shows, the papers and the bbc!!! It is us that are going to take their titles away from them, with of course the threats to those walking the streets should it happen. Sir Walter Cardigen will of course save them from everything, like some super hero! Good luck to him; lol
They have no sense of shame, regret or conscience. I know there are good blue noses and perhaps that’s why they stay away from dingbats ff but that site is an absolute disgrace. I feel sorry for these poor people that only have hatred and bile in their lives. Those of you who are religious should really pray for them as for me I just have pity for them and thank every day that I was not brought up to be so hateful.

As I said I didn’t know there were cave [ cueva ] houses over there.
The area I live in there are whole villages that are caves.
In the village I live in. a cave was sold a couple of weeks ago for 6k, not big, about 90 sq mts, could stick that on yer credit card, spend 25k doing it up, a fine home for 30k.
Ibrokes stadium in not the too distant future

Does Craigy Bhoy own him as well?
UK consortium bidding to take control of Rangers has indicated to the club’s administrator that it wants Graeme Souness to be part of its plans.
The former Ibrox player and manager has not been involved in football since he left Newcastle United in 2006.

What are you talking about I have seen the guy who setup follow follow on the TV nearly every night representing the Rangers support.
I think the Nations broadcaster (who are the official media partner of Rangers FC give this guy a platform.
You must be mistaken no way would STV sink so low and use this guy to tell the story and fight the good fight for and I quote “good blue noses”

1) My name is Thomas we all know I believe nothing till I see it
(I actually sympathise with Thomas when he said I want to see the holes in Jesus hands before I believe – I woould have done the same)
2) I have suppported Celtic for over 50 years – so I am paranoid
I am reading the facts but I am not believing
But please keep the good work coming – I love it all

Listen, I am just telling you what kind of things they are saying on FF , I am certainly not agreeing with it! Dingbat, who runs the site is a well known crook and should never be given air time on tv or radio.

Thought I would re-post and P67 posted a new article … just in case.
Loath to mention this as the “tip” was brought down at the first fence 2 races ago – it subsequently ran 2nd at 20s and tonight at 8.45 runs at Kelso. The rain in Kelso is helping it’s cause. Hawthorne Bay is the horse in question. It will stay and is expected as an e.w. shot – forecast around 10s.
“Feeling” is that the fav only needs to stand up to win, but doesn’t particularly like the soft going.

I would not like to influence how anybody bets on this race.
I just want to point out that there are now only 4 runners left in this race. There will therefore not be any each-way terms & the ‘place’ part of any stakes will become ‘win’ bets.
Good luck.
Afternoon all, i cant believe some of us are moaning at the moment about what’s happening to the huns or about our boards stance, up until a few years ago we could only dream of this happening, let’s all enjoy It before It end’s which will be soon enough, I’m loving It, absolutelly loving It, at 32 years of age and a 3rd generation tim i feel priveleged, we’ve had to live through what Is touching on ethnic cleansing In this dump of a bigoted country, how many times have you been abused or worse because of what we are, being from Ayrshire I’ve lost count. Now there dying and It’s all there own faults, there still In some sort of denial and they expect someone to come to there rescue, much easier than getting off there backsides and doing something themselves, It will only hurt them more that they haven’t. I will be renewing my season ticket, I started boycotting some away grounds a while back, Rugby park being one and I’m delighted I did now. As i said, enjoy this while It lasts, the end will come, think of people who you have lost who would love to be here and for those that haven’t even came into your lives who will want to know the story In the future.

The Figgting Fund is for fighting.
They are buying baseball bats and other assorted weaponry for the summer months when they take to the streets.

Just a thought , could rangers not use some of the £700 million that was put aside to regenerate the ibrox area with the hotels, casinos, etc
Is that plan dead?
I got an email from SaveRangers last week telling me to “keep my powder dry”.
I was wondering how they knew so much about me.
Whitehouse also claims owner Craig Whyte has agreed to transfer his 85 per cent shareholding for a pound.
He added: “To our knowledge, there are written agreements in place with two of the bidders to transfer his shares.
“People say he is selling his shares, but he is doing that for a nominal consideration of a pound. Craig Whyte is not going to benefit from this process.”

Sorry …. getting confused in my old age!
Took Pauls advice, went for a walk in the rain and thought about those fans with genuine worries. Couldn’t help it , but I burst into “singing, and dancing in the rain” (cue the whistling fade out)
Paul,
It’s all well and good telling us not to get hysterical, but where did all the Seville money go, eh?
And why didn’t we break the bank to bury them when they were down?
And you’ve got to speculate to accumulate, don’t you know.
And Dermot needs to get his hand out of his pocket etc.
The Village Green Ironical Emerald CSC
I grew up in a small village, where, from about 20 kids who all played together, it was a fairly even split between the “Catholics and the proddies”. Unusual I know in Scotland, but in our age group, it was honestly pretty much 50/50.
Other than myself who was lucky to be taken to the Celtic games, none of the other kids attended the matches at Celtic Park or Ibrox. That group of kids I refer to met up after school every night and we played football till dark o’clock. Or, tennis when Wimbledon was on ( a stretcher across some bricks for a net…a stretcher?..ask yer maw), or golf when it was the open, jumping the hedges when it was grand national time…and so on. I’m sure it was the same for many.
Anyhow…to the point. Those kids were good kids. Odd scrap here and there, but never a sectarian element within the group. Great pals. I still know most of those ‘Rangers kids’ now though I only see them on odd visits home. They changed. Sectarian bigotted scumbags most of them. Their kids? The same…little bigotted bastards.
What made them change? I can only guess it was two things. Leaving the confines of the village and moving out into wider Scotland, and attending Ibrox.
Or is there another reason?
If ‘IT’ dies…..say a prayer of thanks.

I agree wholeheartedly with every word of that.
I was being facetious in the extreme
It is yet another indication of how low they AND SCOTLAND has become

Received a joke by text this morning comparing the huns to dwelling in Josef Fritzl’s cellar. It was a belter but cannot be posted on here. It would offend a few sensibilities.
Shows you how desperate Bluff and Bluffer are when they are calling Bill Ng in the wee small hours of the morning trying to hawk off the currants at a reduced price. May be some substance to the tweet yesterday saying that Hector was looking for the tax and PAYE for the deferred wages, and that the Bluffoons would be liable for that payment as there was no money left in the kitty.
Can the administrators now go into administration ;-), lol.
twists n turns
The Grand National over fences or hedges was always a favourite of mine. Always wise to know the local area though before jumping over hedges.

Great string of leaders
Sense most Celts are lined up behind your views on what’s next for the currants
My focus will continue to be the continued development of our club and team. There is something sinister in our current environment… Even sans currants!
Refereeing for starters is killing the style of play we need to progress
Don’t get me started in the SFA and mentality of the club chairmen
Much has to change and I doubt our leaders have what it takes to drive the changes
That us not a new problem, ironically I feel they are handling the current situation rather well

No. But whoever holds the floating charge will.
Though that’s not part of ‘this process’ ie the transfer of the shares, is it?
So, not quite pants on fire, but a very poor attempt at dissembling.
We’ll miss you Glasgow Rangers and stories we will tell, Of how Celtic came from Heaven and you lot came from Hell. And when they pull down Ibrox and I think its going to come, Its Hectors way of saying, you should have done your sums! As brick by brick it crumbles and your iron gates crash down, Just think of our St Fergus and how he turned us ’round! When every brick has fallen and you see there’s nothing left, You’ll hear the taxman whisper, that’s the price you pay for theft!
