LEWIS MORGAN is poised for a reunion with his old St Mirren boss Jack Ross at League One outfit Sunderland.

The Wearside outfit look to have pipped Aberdeen for the Celtic winger who will be allowed to go on loan to get some valuable game time.

Morgan has started only one match for the Hoops since arriving in the summer following the £300,000 deal with the Paisley side last January.

Brendan Rodgers immediately allowed the Scotland international to go back to the Saints to help in their successful promotion push.

The Dons will be disappointed to miss out on the youngster and Hibs, too, were credited with an interest before Neil Lennon’s suspension.

The Easter Road side have signed Hoops midfielder Scott Allan on a pre-contract, but are trying to push through a move during this transfer window.
