Meeting a self-proclaimed aggrieved opponent is seldom an appetising prospect, but I would rather have Motherwell away tomorrow than any other opponent.
Our opponents have stoked a sense of injustice brought about when their defender impeded Scott Sinclair, and finished the final as a contest.
What Motherwell manager Steve Robinson should not be doing is polluting his thoughts with what has been and gone. He could find himself two goals down within 15 minutes if his players take to the field with anything more than a desire to stop the champions running amok.
Motherwell can go fourth in the table if they win their game in hand, but the experience of Dundee United in 2015 should caution them. United were flying high before facing Celtic four times in succession. A Scottish Cup draw was followed by defeat in the League Cup final, the Cup replay and the league. That period broke United, who were physically and emotionally wrecked by the experience. They slid down the table and into relegation the next season.
After tomorrow, Motherwell have four consecutive away games, all in the league. If they don’t get their emotions under control rapidly, Celtic will punish them and things could get out of control before Christmas.

Murty’s comments this morning seem a mile away from his response on Friday night.
To avoid a riot in Dodge City this Thursday, Newco working their socks off to parade their WOW manager on stage in the first act?
Evening Bhoys
Thankfully the hangover from Sunday seems to be subsiding.
Brendan’s INVINCIBLES are doing nothing for my pocket or my liver!!

Pog- strange he has apperred in the betting…?
What message is the Scottish football authorities sending out if there is no action taken against Kipre for his challenge on the now crocked Dembele. Will Brendan Rogers and Celtic accept this without even a comment? If so I’m shocked.
Sportsound with- Alex Rae, Richard Foster, Chick Hun…..aff
Philbhoy, I love you as a Poster and I totally agree about your Ernie post, I posted earlier this evening much the same message but a different choice of words.
I know you take umbrage when a post is deleted and are prone to threaten to exit stage left. I’d genuinely hate to see you leave so stop giving the Moderator a decision to make.
It would be unfortunate if, like Moussa, Louis Moult was subject to some “robust”
challenges tomorrow night and was forced to retire early.
After all, apparently it’s all part of the contact sport that is football.
Does anyone know how to get these ads off the side of the screen so that you can actually read anything – this site was bad before for this but its almost impossible at times to avoid this cr*p
Big Packy …. been busy here pal. Work has been crazy busy…. but I know a lot of people are looking for work, so I shouldn’t complain
Otherwise, just taking care of the ladies in my life at the moment ……Derry is doing okay, all things considered …. and last week, my mum went into the doctor with a chest infection, and they gave her 10 x’s the medication they were supposed to, which caused a bad reaction … gave us a scare! but she seems to be recovering …. I am hoping she will be okay, so that I can take her south for a holiday after xmas .

WITS, My all time favourite Ballad, but I learned it from my Mam with a few different lyrics then the now accepted version,
So on this day in 1920 led by the great Tom Barry whom I had the pleasure of meeting a few times a few Cork Bhoys took on the Black & Tans in Kilmichael in an ambush that sent shock waves throughout the British Empire. So as my Mam taught me 60 years ago,
Whilst we honour in song and in story
The memory of Pearse and McBride
Whose names are illumined in glory
With martyrs that long since have died
Oh forget not the boys of Kilmichael
Who feared not the ice and the foe
Oh the day that they marched into battle
They laid all the Black and Tans low
On the twenty eighth day of November
The Tans left the town of Macroom
They were seated in Crossley tenders
Which brought them right into their doom
They were on the high road to Kilmichael
And never expecting to stall
‘Twas there that the boys of the column
They made a clear sweep of them all
The sun in the west it was sinking
‘Twas the eve of a cold winter’s day
When the Tans we were eagerly waiting
Sailed into the spot where we lay
And over the hill went the echo
The peal of the rifles and guns
And the smoke from their lorries bore tidings
That the boys of Kilmichael had won
The battle being over at twilight
And there in that glen so obscure
We threw down our rifles and bayonets
And made our way back to Granure
And high over Dunmanway town, my boys
They sang of the brave and the true
Of the men from Tom Barry’s bold column
Who conquered the red, white and blue
There are some who will blush at the mention
Of Connolly, Pearse and McBride
And history’s new scribes in derision
The pages of valour deny
But sure here’s to the boys who cried, Freedom!
When Ireland was nailed to the mast
And they fought with Tom Barry’s bold column
To give us our freedom at last
Final chorus:
So forget not the boys of Kilmichael
Those brave boys both gallant and true
They fought ‘neath the green flag of Erin
And conquered the red, white and blue
1) Who cares whether Murderwell are in emotional turmoil and how that may impact them! No me.
2) Huns going for the world record for number of broken camera lenses this Wednesday. It’ll be bad enough if they are level pegging but if getting beat can you imagine that pic. Can’t wait to see it.
3) FFS it was a pen. (See that full stop) Move on. Neil Mris and Chris are wrong.
4) 4-0 to the hoops tomorrow night.
5) We’ll win the league.
6) We’ll win the Scottish Cup.
MWD over and oot
5) Stop flouncing
7) not 5)

Nobody expected that….at least it will love the debate away from the penalty debate.
For what it’s worth “ yir wrang “.
Is Craig Gordon still a Hun?
MWD
Love ? Meant “move”
Corkie. Hopefully we will meet up some day and i will tell you how I was thrown out of the Arts Club in Fitzwilliam Steeet over that song .
It was at an exhibition of paintings by a gentleman who had taken up the paint brush while taking some enforced leave from his duty as a liberator of funds on behalf the Irish Proletariat
MOONBEAMSWD . who called craig gordon a hun. being serious here. hh.

Just checked my bible – definitely Jesus Christ
Am no wrang so there
Seriously it really annoys me – lacks respect imho
But everyone to their own – no debate just an opinion
GENE
No problems. Try a quick Google search as the why we use an X in Cmasearch.
Sorry , I phone playing up…
the X in Xmas goes back to gospel times. X was early shorthand for Christ. I was enlightened to this around 30 yrs ago by a very devout man.
HH. that’s Tim shorthand for Hail! Hail!
Wits, Sounds like a good story. Are you heading over next Tuesday?
Take a guess Big Packy before you go oooff ooottt.

Being a Greek scholar I knew that – but as there are limited educated in the language it’s used as a secular abbreviation
Got to dash

Anyone let us know what the league table looked like this time last year.

except that the name Jesus is Greek for Joshua … Jesus is used because the earliest known manuscripts of the New Testament are in Greek …. but,Papias noted in around 120 AD that Matthew had written his Gospel in the Hebrew language … which could have been Hebrew (Joshua) or Aramaic (possibly Isho)
Family name of Jesus was not Christ, so when he was born it was not Christmas and not December.. That was brought in by later Christians.
