  1. BURNLEY @ 1:06

Of course I agree, OH has had limited time on the pitch – I hope you are right and he comes good.

Just at this moment in time he does not look the answer – but I’d love him to prove me wrong.

Apologise for earlier – not Elliot, Phillips of course – post Covid brain-fog is my excuse. He gives me a good feeling….but then so did Shane Duffy after a couple of games.

  2. Oh , has shown absolutely nothing to suggest that he will be a success.

He actually looks worse every time I see him ,xas for Yang, was actually surprised that Brendan kept him on until halftime, he was that poor.

Oh or GG, is a no brainer.

  3. Greyskull is the good guys and it’s green. Snake mountain is the huns bad guy den.

    How many times.

  4. We need another striker project I am not sold on Oh, still as raw aa he was when we signed him. He looks stronger but not much else has improved. Looks handy holding up and coming deep, but he never looks like scoring.

  5. dearie me, what chances has oh actually had ?

and how did we miss out on dessers ?

  6. Rangers are dooming themselves to Celtic’s shadow if they don’t appoint Muscat

    By Adrian Deans Oct 1 2023 11:58PM

Glasgow Rangers are in trouble. The SPL season is only 7 matches in and they are already 7 points behind Celtic. I know very little about Michael Beale – Rangers manager – but I do know this: Rangers will get nowhere near Celtic with Beale in charge.

At time of writing, Rangers aren’t even second in what is traditionally a two horse race. That situation is absolutely unsustainable and I’d be amazed if the Rangers board weren’t already sounding out possible replacements.

The problem is not just Beale. Rangers have spent a lot of money on players who don’t quite cut the mustard but will remain a drain on the books for some time… unless sold.

They desperately need a circuit breaker. And as they can’t get any new players until January, the only feasible circuit breaker is a new manager.

    Step forward Kevin Muscat.

    In Beale we trust.

  7. Season 1983/84 we lost 3 of 1st 4 League games

Celtic Hearts and Aberdeen beat us

Season 1987/88 we lost 3 of our 1st 5 League games

Hibs Aberdeen and Celtic beat us

  8. Minute for minute Oh scores as many goals for Celtic as GG did.

We’re watching Matt O’Riley at the same age and after a lot more football turning into one of our best players. Development players need a chance to develop, 2 starts since he’s been here hardly helps a young man from a totally alien cultur

Giakoumakis was written off at the same stage of his Celtic career. The reaction to his missed pen against Livi lives long in the memory

  9. Brendan seems to wait later to substitute Kyogo than Ange did. He did it with Son yesterday, he’s willing to take his main striker off earlier than you’d expect, Brendan seems to stick more with the convebtional way of thinking and keep his best players on the pitch for as long as possible. It might mean fewer minutes for our development players.

Or maybe Brendan doesn’t trust Oh. What do I know

  10. Cloud 9

Hope your recovery was helped by yesterdays results…..

Oh has just not had any meaningful game time. I really struggle with folk who think they can make expert judgements after virtually not time on the park. Even more when his goals per minute ratio is actually really good.

There are a good few on here who must have been some players or coaches in their time given how quick they can assess someone as a dud.

GG was a write off until he left. Starfelt a bomb scare until he left. O’Riley was lightweight and never going to make it until he was maybe not signing a new contract.

Many can only see what they look for in life and that is negatives.

  11. Burnley @ 2:55

I’m sure that regardless of the different views on OH, everyone of us would love for him to develop and deliver – perhaps circumstances will transpire to give him a decent run of games.

I would like to see him paired with Kyogo from the start…..but I’ll leave that up to Brendan. HH

  12. Celtic 40me

We both trust Brendan.Thats what counts

Who steers blog after yesterdays results to pick on Oh who contributes ably when asked.

  13. OH like Kyogo is can be a match winner which he has done in the past ,so lay of the guy ,

  14. garygillespieshamstring on

Didn’t hear too many complaints about Oh when he scored the clincher at Tynecastle when we won the league.

Also another couple of important goals last season.

  15. spikeysauldman on

so yesterday from the same fans…

  18. Although I am a keen golfer, I simply cannot get excited about, for me, the jingoistic.anti-American occasion that is the Ryder Cup.

  19. DESSYBHOY on 1ST OCTOBER 2023 4:45 PM

I understand that as I used to be the same myself !

    TIMHORTON on 1ST OCTOBER 2023 4:49 PM

See above and, at that time, I would not have been able to understand someone not getting excited about such a real and unusual contest.

  20. Just had a quick look at Tommy Fleetwood ( whom I like ) winning theRyder Cup for Europe . The clip aslo showed why I am less than enthusiatic about the affair now:

    a) Crowd cheering the American player`s ball going into the water;

    b) In spite of the crowd`s unsporting reaction, Fowler ( USA) still gave Fleetwood a three feet putt. Remember, this is the same guy whose misfortune was cheered moments earlier.

  21. I, too, think Oh can make a telling contribution and I also have hopes for Yang.

    Cheerio for now.

  22. garygillespieshamstring on

I think we will see the best of Yang when we sign Ying to play alongside him.
