   We could very easily have won by 5 or 6 last night and the tone this morning would be very different.

   I’m sure Brendan and the coaching team work on improving or conversion ratio of chances created to goals scored. In the recent past goals came from many areas within the team.

   A great passer of the ball something I feel has been slightly under par the last few games and my main problem with Stretch he’s too casual in the passing of the ball and the way we set up and play slack passing can cause us problems.

   Was there that night – great night, God bless wee Johnny Doyle, he was immense – and also at the 2nd leg in Madrid. That was not so great, but could’ve been if Chicken George had taken a great chance before they scored.

    

    

   Went to the game on a bus from the Garngad, that managed to get to the Bernabeau 30 minutes before the game……nobody seemed to panic….you’d think it was Tannadice we were going to….

   I replied to Mickbhoy 1888 last night regarding an error I had made earlier, but subsequently corrected, about the number of years Kenny played for Celtic. My original comment said 20 years because of a typo. I knew he had played for us for 10 years and pointed this out a little later. However, I note that my reply to Mickbhoy 1888 has been disappeared and I would like to know if it was taken down by one of the Moderators on here. I would appreciate a reply. Thank you.

   Finally caught up with the First Ashes Test . Trying to see it in Paris was like trying to watch a Celtic game in Palermo — Oz’s serious pace and quick spin way too good for a stodgy England . That and English seam bowling not working in hot n dry conditions .. A very bad tempered game . I love cricket .

    

    

   Big media tizz here re the start of next year’s Giro D’Italia — supposed to be Jerusalem but the Israeli Government have objected to the organizer’s use of the term West Jerusalem as the starting point .According to the former that implies that Jerusalem is a divided city .. According to the latter that merely portrays the reality of an occupation . Stand off developing if the organizers dont drop the West bit .

   I used to get really angry with with the Radio Scotland sports output and stopped listening.

    

   Pure hun propaganda.

    

    

   Then I discovered the podcast. What a laugh. Best listened to the next day once the dust has settled.

    

    

   Today we have, it’s not a penalty if:

    

   The player is moving away from goal;

    

   It’s not a goal scoring chance;

    

   It was only a little foul.

    A bit dreich here today,but my day has been brightened by the fact that,the Huns on BBC Scotland are pyoor ragin,Adrian Durham is apoplectic with rage,the Motherwell team are distraught,we are going for 67 on Saturday,and the hapless,gulliblllies have been served a load of bollox once again at their AGM.

    We should all take the mssm’s legitimate gripes about our penalty seriously.

     

    After all they will also be moaning about the huns two offside goals last night.

     

    On the second Windass is offside and has to jump up to avoid Pena’s shot hitting him.He was clearly obscuring goalkeepers line of sight.

     

    The third was blatantly offside and the guy with flag who was right in line had a clear view and did the sensible thing by not celebrating.
