So the Atalanta ultras ordered you to leave a bar near the stadium and you go on to blame the Green Brigade and The Bhoys just for their mere existence.
Second half, Kyogo’s shot is saved down to goalkeeper’s right. Ball breaks to Maeda on goal line. He turns it across goal but no takers. Maeda gets up, grabs the Motherwell keeper’s plastic water bottle, takes a mouthful and puts it back beside the goal.

Aitken and Muir on VAR need taken to task.
Classic decisions when the games were over to even up 2 shockers which really could have affected outcomes.
Dessers pen claim waived away at last kick to compensate for Saints one not given and blatant red card which should have been given to the wee midfield guy for rangers.
Sending off Gordon at the end to compensate for not sending off O’Donnell earlier only benefits 2 teams. Dundee United and Rangers. The next 2 Motherwell opponents. Our game was over by then.
Aitken and Muir need called out for their continued bias.
“My local side, Galway United, had a goalkeeper as top scorer in the National League once!” says Keith Kelly. “The club joined the league in the 1977/78 season, and was then known as Galway Rovers. “Being the new boys, they weren’t a massive success or anything, and at the end of that first season their top scorer was goalkeeper Tom Lally, who scored four penalties in the season.

Tom I don’t know how you extrapolate me blaming the GB from what I actually said.
However, I was trying to discuss in general terms the existence of ultra groups, including at Celtic.
The concept of singing sections and standing areas can enhance the atmosphere, no doubt. The tifos etc created by fan groups are also positive.
What is less attractive to me (and others with whom I have discussed this) is the quasi-military uniformed appearance of some of these groups around the footballing world. Also, the often aggressive nature of some of these groups and the fact that it seems that some of these groups see themselves as either official supporters’ spokespersons or as ‘better’ fans than others within a club.
Some ultra groups are reminiscent of ‘firms’ in England and Europe and any drift in that direction is certainly something we should be actively discouraging at our club.

This weeks VAR shocker, taking two full minutes to disallow a goal for handball, Alan Muir all by himself without the referee contrived to ignore a clear foul that led to the finish. Seemingly intent that Celtic definitely weren’t getting a goal that went in via a hand, who cares that the Celtic player was fouled in the process? All a big laugh on SKY ‘commentary’ SFA job done, no goal, what penalty! Alan Muir’s litany of honest mistakes multiplies when they put him in a room with crayons and cart blanche ,to create a new controversy at least once a week.

….
Caught up with the highlights , in our game clear penalty on Daizen , non debatable and clear red card on Adam , the ref had a good view of both incidents, he’s useless. Don’t think he spotted young Millar touching the ball after his free kick hit the bar , VAR gave the foul. Very poor ref.
At Ibrox inexplicable incompetent officiating ( tricky for a Monday morning) , Aitken on VAR didn’t give the penalty, as the stupid ref had conveniently blown fir a free kick. Still thought Barrons attempted decapitation of StMirren opponent was as clear a red card as you’ll see all season, ref didn’t give a yellow as it would have forced VAR to intervene.
Still post Christmas the Huns will be dropping points left right and centre , win ,draw, lose will be the pattern.

Surely if we think that Yang’s red card was wrong, we must take the same view on other such incidents?……just to be consistent. There was a ‘stooshie’ and quite rightly so over the Tynecastle incident. I’m sure there has been a rethink since and we will hear Willie Collum’s take on the Barron’s high boot in due course.
I have no problem with misjudgements where the player is genuinely making an attempt to play the ball – if you have played the game you will know that when concentrating on the ball you can be oblivious to what’s happening around you. So, as in Yang’s case, not every foot and head comings together warrants a red card.
Where I’d like to see reds dished out more readily is where there is no attempt to play the ball – e.g. pulling a player back, or, tripping after he has gotten away from you; sometimes stupidly called by pundits as “taking one for the team”. It’s almost lauded among the glitterati on these panels. It would be the polar opposite if a red card was shown; it would be seen as seriously handicapping the team and it would soon stop.
We are of course in the hands of officialdom and it will get things wrong from time to time. I don’t believe that there is now any institutionalised bias in favour of, or, against, any particular club in Scotland; let’s face it the game is subject to a level of scrutinous perusion as never before. A referee would be jeopardising his career with continual ‘dodgy’ decisions and would not last long.

I don’t think we want reds for Barron/Sevco and not us; we just want consistency.
