Good result at what is usually a tough venue for us.

    —————–

did i hear before the game that this is the longest run of no wins for motherwell againsr celtic ever ?

  2. “BBC ( Again !) :

    Kheredine Idessane

    BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox

Rangers blew Ross County away to continue their good recent run of form and stay within 10 points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.”

They make ten points seem almost neck and neck !!!

  3. Fans pay to see goals. What the game is all about.Assholes making up rules that takes the most important part of the game away from the fans,in some cases, for a couple of centimetres,is farcical.Clear daylight as Wenger said,.

  4. Aiden’s comment about Jota crying belongs in the 20th century

The fact that the muppet Boyd was in agreement shows how poor a comment it was

Wee Kyogo subbed after 66 mins. Really feel for the wee guy. 0-0.

    *why, his choice to leave

  6. garygillespieshamstring on

    St Stivs

You are correct in that, but I think they usually make it tough for us by the way they defend and kick us all over the park.

Don’t know about the scores but my feeling is that we don’t run over the top of them very often

  7. Arsenal’s Lb M. Lewis-Skelly off to a standing ovation and replaced by Calafiori. KT unused sub.

  8. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Oh well, I really hope he looks after himself over the next few months.

No idea what’s in this for the Gooners. Is he really going to be flying in to challenges if/when they put him on?

  9. Arsenal are still in a title race, the CL and the FA Cup. KT still seen as a valuable Squad player though Lewis-Skelly, at 18, looks like he will be first choice LB for a while. Had a great game today and, just maybe, that will be the key to allow KT to leave tomorrow? KT now 3rd choice.

I was thinking the same thing re the BBC article.

Within 10 points sounds so much better than saying 10 points adrift with the leaders having a game in hand.

They are exactly 10 points behind and not within 10 points. It is actually wrong.

As for who to blame. It is not the guy who wrote the story. The person who writes the headlines is more likely the sub E or Editor. Richard Wilson is the former I think.

Rennes actually got a last minute winner v Strasbourg . So not in the bottom 3.

  12. The returnof weeron on

    Well….

I enjoyed the game today. An aggressive opponent, a difficult surface, and a win that always looked likely.

Then I came on here where, I presume that some of you you were watching a completely different game.

If you hate Brendan Rodgers, you need to be somewhere else. If you think that Celtic would be better with 10 men rather than bring Yang on, you don’t know much about the beautiful game.

    Madness.

    Weeron

  13. Within 10 points 😂. Trying to imply they’re actually quite close. Way behind by 13 points on Wednesday. Some very dodgy decisions today.

  14. bournesouprecipe on

    Jota wrote his own headlines.

Typical after a CL bruiser to get a flat game, super result with three great goals McCowan and Ralston freshened up the side nicely with four games in two weeks the squad will be tested. Resting players for back to back league encounters, is just another balance thing that BR’s seems to get right.

Before we’d even sat down Daizen Maeda, headed like Henrik into the corner from Tony Ralston’s cross, settling those of the nervous disposition. Hatate, McCowan and Daizen then ran the show, and were outstanding. Adam Idah endorsed his new ‘main striker’ role with another good game and fine finish. Rumours of of Jota’s fitness levels were greatly exaggerated and the prodigal son praised the level of a mundane match by latching onto Daizen Maeda’s spot and pass.

The chat pre match was overshadowed by the transfer window, but as relaxed as Rodgers, most supporters look forward to the new arrivals in a remarkable January window, which can help wrap up the title flag.

    MOM Daizen Maeda

  15. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Wonder if Wilson will write “Within 13 points” come 10pm Wednesday 🤔

Anyone with half a brain can see this is absolute clown stuff, yet this is deemed good use of “taxpayers “ (our) money.

  16. PCS,

I agree, thought he was excellent today.

I said the other day, don’t care if we don’t get a striker in,and Idah and Maeda have shown why this week. When Jota is fully fit,it will be him and Kuhn on the wings, dont be in any doubt.Maeda looks a different player, when not stuck out on the wing.He is all over the front line.Magnificent strikers header today, and Idahs movement for his goal was lightning quick.

Where and when is this striker going to play?.For me its Bling we don’t need.Spend money on GT,or another LB if he wants away.More in need.

  17. Celtic got 3 points at a difficult venue after a CL Away game. The ref was very difficult as was VAR. Jota made a scoring debut, Scales got minutes at Left Back, Maeda minutes in the middle all 5 midfielders got a game.

All in all a good day.

    On to 3 home games.

  18. Saint Stivs on 2nd February 2025 5:08 pm

!!Bada Bing!! on 2nd February 2025 5:05 pm

The Prince of Parkhead is home ✅

    ————-

nope, not prince, definately george michael.

    you got to have faith.

Seen Prince at Celtic Park early 90s,truly phenomenal, and seen George Michael twice,a genius act, both gone too young

  19. As soon as we cross the touch line we are a goal down. All four officials were very poor and in particular Walsh and Beaton.Walsh now no longer hides behind the VAR couch , his poor decision making is open for all to see and doesn’t even GAF.
