Many of our fans were bored of just dominating Scottish football. They felt entitled to more success in Europe and an exciting brand of football. Nancy and his 3-4-3 with new players was supposed to deliver this. It hasn’t. I was waiting to get to the transfer window but now I don’t think that will matter. His players did nothing for him tonight, he got desperate and used all five subs in a random way that was so chaotic it made Motherwell look like Madrid. A manager who’s hated by a large section of the support and clearly hasn’t bonded with the players will never succeed.
He will need to go. Then you can start hounding the next manager. Must be a Glasgow thing now, I’ve been away too long.

Dominic and DD fell out pretty quick.

Yes…we’ve had a generation of domination…but who have we been playing against….during this time…we have mainly been 1st in a 1 horse race…our custodians have had it easy for far too long…and yes…they can slap themselves on the back and point to the trophies won during this time..but you can’t tell me that those in charge of Celtic…are trying to make Celtic as good as Celtic can be…the regression is frightening…

Fergus McCann was no savior.
FM denied the the sale of the club to Celtic supporters, so he lied to them, then he duped them, then he lied about that as well.
Selling the club to the fans at the AGREED reduced price, but Tory McCann was having none of that, which was the [Rebel Consortium’s] hill to die on, after FM left meaning that an Irish Tory liar would replace a Canadian Tory liar.
Celtic fans were thrown under the bus in 1994, 30 years later some of them haven’t even wised up to that fact, which is the reason that Brian Dempsey left Celtic weeks AFTER McCann took over.
FM introduced Celtic to the same Toryism that David Murray and Greame Souness introduced into Ibrox, where the majority of gate receipts would be kept by the home club meaning that visiting teams to Parkhead and Ibrox would no longer be benefiting from a financial windfall which went a long way to providing the levels of opposition which made Celtic and Rangers sharp enough, to be big noises in European football.

If the club was trying to improve, we would not have £80m in the bank. Like peter cnut face lawwell never stopped talking about it. Infact, the only time he couldnt talk about it, he cut short an AGM.

The club was trying to improve, still is, it’s just not coming off. If you didn’t live in a fishbowl you would see that this happens to all clubs from time to time but not all fans spit the dummy and go all wailly wailly.
Should we try a supporters club raffle to pick the next manager and players? Referendum for every board room decision. Whats the plan Aurora?
P67’s year in review will be with reading. A year ago we had lost 2 games in a year, league cup in the bag, league on the way, ECL qualification pending and en-route to most goals in our history.
But Rodgers was becoming too powerful and his nemesis, wee Paul’s pal couldn’t bear it. So a deliberate strategy to undermine the manager started by actively selling out his best players and starting a whispering campaign – not least via this blog.
Rodgers is no angel, so it wasn’t all one way… however look at us now. The Board has blown the club up in a single year. Three managers in half a season and counting. 17 defeats in the calendar year. Humped off St Mirren in the league cup final and Kairat in the ECL. Players look on the verge of mutiny with a dud manager who’s ripped up a winning system and replaced it with a losing one. Key players shafted who wanted to leave, a couple of disastrous transfer windows. The fans in complete revolt and the doddery autocrat viciously attacking our highly successful departing manager. Also licensing his son to attack the fans at the aborted AGM. To add to the bans on the Green Brigade and other slandering of fans by this despised Board of Tory bastards.
And in the only positive to emerge from the year the despicable bastard chairman finally destroyed himself into the bargain. Some karma there at least.
Looking ahead to 2026 brace yourself for a 4th place finish, the huns winning the league and Desmond, Nicholson, Tisdale and Nancy driving us even more into the sea. Probably 20,000 season books. Or being renewed as the Celtic fan base finally wakes up to the con artists that have led us to this place.
Whatever happens though, the plc will turn a profit even if it means a total asset strip of the squad, look out for Tony Ralston being sold off to Bellshill juniors for £50. Nicholson and that finance dick will get those bonuses come hell or high water. Or let’s be realistic, just hell.

Like you I was willing Nancy to succeed, but after tonight the writing’s on the wall. I expect Saturday to be the final straw. The players aren’t having him. As if they’ve earned the right to down tools…
Oh and if this is the Board trying to improve us I’d hate to see what they’d do if they were trying to destroy us. 😉
Hi back to basics we need some sanity in our support if we are to get of this train. Glass have full would be good right now.
Peterlatchford that’s the kind of emotional logic that will keep us on a downward spiral. Easier to sling stones when it’s not working out than to get back up and try again. Support is not shining with any glory either with their songs of hate booming out.
Like everyone else on here I know nothing about what actually happens in the exec but anyone could see that there was a reluctance to hand more money over to Brendan and I don’t know that we will ever know why, except that the shock waves have impacted the team and support. Let’s judge that after they spend some of their money.
Going around in circles saying the same stuff will move us backwards. Using the next two windows to try again may reverse the decline. For the love of Celtic let’s ramp down the hate until after the next two transfer windows, whoever is the next interim or new manager.

Got to say, I’m with those who have sympathy for WN&Co – they had good jobs and good careers going for them in soccer, they were well and truly suckered.

Lawyers, Accountants, Bankers, Politicians etc – obviously think they are so superior to the oinks who ply their trade in football.

JMcC was a DD signing. I think JK was too. Dom McKay wanted DD and the Board to step out of their comfort zone – they were having none of it, so he was pushed.
I think many predicted last night’s result. I think it tells us two things: 1. The squad is not good enough 2. Nancy needs to be sacked. I don’t know if he’s lost the players because it didn’t look like that against Livi. But he’s stubborn, one dimensional. He did nothing different after seeing how exposed his team could be against the bottom of the league. He changed nothing before the game and nothing during the game tactics wise. He’ll be even worse than Ange in Europe. Celtic will no doubt get pumped by Rangers. So get him out then. Bring in MON and Shaun again (can’t believe I’m writing that) and give them money to buy a few decent players – a goalie, a right footed CB, a right winger and a striker or two. I think our Japanese players are past their sell by date. Sell them for what you can get to spend on others.
I’m glad I waited until this morning before expressing my viewpoint, it’s given me time to evaluate the disheartening and frightening spectacle we’re watching of Celtic’s rapid collapse into the realms of being the candidate for the SPFL’s “schmucks” of the season.
In cold analysis I have to say that Celtic supporters bear some responsibility for the appointments of Nancy and Tisdale, both of whom are patently 3rd rate football theorists without the necessary credentials for the roles they’ve been gifted by the Celtic’s board.
Why were they given such influential posts by Celtic?
I’d suggest it’s driven by the fans who want to see the “Celtic Way Of Playing” attacking football that succeeded so spectacularly in 1967, and a board who buckle and provide them a team that can get away with this limiting wish in Scotland rather than produce a strategy to grow a team to compete in Europe.
It’s been the major influence in so many teams in recent years being top heavy with attacking flair and totally lacking a coordinated defensive strategy of players to compliment and connect with the ‘flair’ players.
Both Tisdale and Nancy had a dubious history and, as we watch through our fingers, it is patently obvious the board should have been looking for experienced mangers of quality, managers who build complete teams, managers who build a team based on a sound defence and goalkeeper, who have the ability, nous and flair (when required) to make Celtic a complete team.
Nancy must be replaced by Martin O’Neil immediately and Tisdale should be returned to the English 2nd division with a note that he wasn’t fit for purpose.
