  1. Gene's a Bhoys name on

Tanner said to the Murderwell lad that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for them to get into CL – Think they will at least have 3 chances

  2. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!..Truth and Justice will always prevail on

Sir Dalex ……..”Can’t believe it” …………LOL

As Celtic debuts go it doesn’t get much better.

Willie Gardner scored twice in his first match for the Hoops – in a 3-0 victory for St Mirren.

Unsurprisingly, big Willie never recovered from that setback…

  4. ….also, I sincerely hope Peter Houston’s troops can overhaul these imposters for 3rd place.

Wonder if Ally will return a favour to McCall when Motherwell visit Ibrox, he owes them plenty!

  5. Well done Celtic , driven on by Joe Ledley. Good start for young Tony watt , trust those goals will be the first of many.

Assuming we have a game next week against oldco , would move big Vic to centre half to snuff out elbows. We will probably need to grind out the result , but will need a lot more from hooper and company….although expect big sammi on the left.

Without Norris to award imaginary penalties , there was never any danger today.

Expect Craig Thomson to get the gig next weekend , with Norris lying low for a while until Fleming needs him to cheat again.

Man of the match….. Well who made the difference? I think it was Patrick McCourt, others may say Tony Watt, or Ledley et al.

A great debate to be had…..isnt life good……

Football talk eh? You never know it might catch on………

  7. Auld Neil Lennon heid on

Joe Ledley had some second half. That is the kind of application the others will need to show next week.

I thought Rogne played intelligently when defending and once he beefs up he will be some stopper.

Paddy might not have done any mazys but he sure has an eye for a pass.

Hooper right out of touch and not pulling away from pursuit, Commons mixed like the curate’s egg and the young fella Watt has probably sent the Polish lad back home.

Did you see PL turn to Neil at the end and say “how much will that save us?” I feel a bit sorry for the Polish lad he could have made the same name for himself as young Watt had he taken the two chances he made for himself by good positioning and excellent control.

  8. Lucky Cody – I would certainly like to see Wanyama detailed to take care of Elbows. I like him as a centre mid lying deep.

The physical battle gives the platform for what should be better football.

But as we know all the planning in the world often goes out the windae in these games and they can turn on an incident like a sending off or a dodgy penalty.

But I would like to see us ensure we match them, maybe actually bully them a bit and simultaneously keep the ball on the grass and move it at speed.

    Pure, beautiful, inventive football.

    Hail Hail

  9. Great result. Started well though we quickly became a bit indecisive in our passing and movement. Despite that we still looked more likely to take the lead in the first half.

I thought the forced introduction of Paddy made the difference in the end. His presence seemed to allow Joe a lot more freedom to support the front line and earn his MOTM award. Loved both Paddy’s passes to The Cha, pinpoint stuff from the shaggy Fenian.

Tony Watt deserves enormous credit for taking both his chances. The Bhoy looks good in a senior jersey and I reckon we might see him make an appearance next weekend. On the downside I thought both Commons and The Cha were wasteful in possession, particularly Kris who seems to be lacking the spark and incisiveness of his game from last season. My MOTM is Super Joe Ledley with Big Vic hot on his heels.

Overall a good performance from a much changed Celtic side.
