  1. West Wales Celt on

    Watt has been good value.

Paddy and Stokes have both added something since coming on but the team performance has been pretty woeful.

    Well played M’well.

Amazing how they can raise their game so persistently against Celtic but get stuffed by a 3rd division team…

Utter garbage. Too many of our guys think the season finished last week. Pass marks to Tony Watt only.

  3. Ah well. Everything worked for Motherwell today. Celtic undone by defensive errors.

Helicopter Sunday mentioned … How many times?

Back to back victories over Celtic, mentioned too often..

What the hell do we care? Champions..

Hurting MSM .. Run us down constantly.. Negative always..

  7. Many called for fringe players, they played, we lost, the referee changed a very well balanced game with a penalty decision which out of 100 would be given 4/5 times, there’s a lot a talk about how strong Celtic are in the midfield, I think this season asks a lot of questions about that…

  8. Rank rotten performance to go with quite a few others this season. Without commons in midfield we look clueless.

  9. A non-penalty and an OG, where there should have been an offside changed the game. Motherwell gave their all, says the commentator. Yes; I’m sure that is true when they play against us and are helped by the MIB.

  10. Celtic played exactly like a team with nothing to play for, whilst Motherwelll were ramped up for the Europa. Mini Black Sunday (not) but very poor end of season stuff from Celtic, with the exception of possibly two players, NFL will be doing well to pick the right side that is able to beat Hibs in the Cup final.

Officialdom aside, as usual, Celtic are a poor defensive unit away from home that changes from one week, to the next and Neil should use the games left to decide on his best side. nothing matters except 26th May and then it will be a summer to regroup, when we’ll lose and gain some players, hopefully in defence where there are obvious deficiencies in personnel and coaching perspective.

  11. FT 3-1 to Motherwell

From coasting 1st half we hit some troubed waters.

Only Tony Watt can take some pride from his efforts.

Rogic impressed 1st half but faded after the break.

Centre back pairing was weak and hesitant

kayal was like a lost soul wander about.

Hooper was MIA most of the game.

No balance no rhythm no points

  12. Afternoon

Played well in first half I thought but soft goal on half time and v.questionable pen early in 2nd half and that was it. Players 2nd to too many 50/50s and subs didn’t bring much to the party . Well had more to play for and it showed. Watt good for most of game and most of team played well first half and terribly in 2nd

Bit annoying we lost – especially if, like me, you work in Motherwell. But really, so what?

Yep, absolutely agree, without Commons we have NO creative midfield force at all.

  14. Poor display from the bhoys in the second half

    Individually a few howlers too

    Mulgrew ,Sammi,Hooper, Rogne…..very poor

    Vic,Lustig,Kayal,Rogic,Izzy,FF….moderate

Watt…best for me …his final ball was poor ..but he showed an appetite and desire that few matched

    Subs

Most did better than those they replaced

    Stokes and McGeouch were good.

McCourt…time up for me …simply does nothin to merit inclusion ..

All in all a poor show when our best show is from a 19 yr old just cause he tries hard

  15. Thank feck we’ve won the league,or there would be a lot of scarves thrown onto the park.

Perspective needed ,non penalty given ,offside o g given ,Bhoys winding doon given…

……..haud oan ..cup final to play …get a grip ya bunch of lazy bassas .

  16. The Spirit of Arthur Lee on

Well done Motherwell better team. More organised, skilful but more importantly they wanted it more. That saddens me most HH

  17. kevinlasvegas on

All the Helicopter sunday stuff and back to back wins are all our own fault, if we place well the ref doesnt matter. WE done these things and the Media rub it in as they will tomorrow, we play rubbish like today we deserve to be dug up for it. Not saying the msm do it fair but today we give them ammo as we seem to always do.

  18. Analysis time. Beaten 3 to 1. FF beaten at near post, dodgy penalty, OG when Well player challenging was Off-side. However despite fact that Sammi was poor for 78 mins, Rogic stayed in dressing room at half time, none of the defenders emerge with honours. Kayal had a mare, Stoksey or Hooper brought little to the table, yet blame it all on Paddy McCourt. Only for Paddy we would have won by 5 or 6.

  19. That`s the second time we`ve gone to Fir Park with a much changed team and come away with a disappointing defeat. Rob MacLean on Shortbread certainly was enjoying that .

Ross County next week and hopefully not another rerun. Away performances have been pretty poor in 2013.

  20. spikeysauldman on

embarrassing – another start with 3 forwards – forget that diamond formation – 3 forwards among six changes – only 1 man to blame

and why the feck did he write their team talk during the week with his comments on poty

good on watt, mccourt and stokes, and dylan

mulgrew and lustig – laural and hardy – got the hair and the ridiculous moustache

kayal – possibly the worst tackler i have ever seen in a celtic jersey

wanyama – dont believe the hype – invisible second half

sammi needs another rocket/cuddle whatever – already on holiday

  21. spikeysauldman on

1 win in last 7 away matches

ross county will work theor socks off next week just like motherwell

    dundee utd last game away

could be looking at 1in 9

  22. Thought Tony Watt played well, Rogic has a great future played really well the first half.

Lenny said once that Sammy could get him the sack, well Lenny add Charlie Mulgrew to that list, after an above average last season rewarding him POTY he has been poor to average all season long but is first name on the team sheet.

This team lacks pace, they are also weak.

    PL get the players in.

    KTF

  23. Shambolic embarrassing second half from the team on the park

Baffling subs from the team off it.

    A day to forget

  24. Glendalystonsils likes a mr whippy with his lime green jelly on

In defence of Sammi, he took some hefty punishment early on. I think it’s called a Mullet game plan. The rest of the poor performers in our team have no excuse.

Hope they snap out of it in time for the cup final.

  25. spikeysauldman on

reminded me of mowbrays 4-1 to st.mirren

not quite but you know what i mean

    the league is expected

the euro run was a credit

but only a cup final win makes it a really good season

  26. Todays type of performance and result will happen more than it should till our coach learns to properly implement his playing systems.

We leave to much space and become very disjointed at the first sign of adversity.

Our better players carry us through with individual moments but we are to reliant on this.

Neil is lacking in the knowledge to fully implement the system and ideas he has and the board need to recognise this and get him experienced help.

To many average players look good against us due to the time and space we provide them.

  27. Kilbowie Kelt on

    You can’t win ’em all.

We have won when it mattered.

Motherwell fought harder today than we did. They had a lot to play for.

I am grateful for what Neil & the team have given us throughout the season.

Only one result now matters. It’s been a GREAT season.

    Well done,’Well.

  28. Reading v QPR……now, there’s a misery inducing game.

At least we’re on the road to Europe again, but no way will I be listening to the tripe undoubtedly about to be spewed in the studio. Post mortems by ‘experts’ are garbage.

I’d much rather read what’ll be getting said on here. At best, entertaining; at worst, plain dopey.

Now, where do I land in that spectrum? Answers not obligatory.
