  1. timbhoy2 I know full well I shouldn’t respond to you but when did I ever do what I should. Lenny got us into last 16 of Europe through 2 tough qualifiers and an extremely tough group. We have won the SPL ( O.K. No great credit there as an SPL win was always on the cards) and we are in the Cup Final. I think he has at least earned the right to lead us for another Season.

Maybe some playersbelieve their own publicity

During the week the germans showed how modern football should be played – quick energetic play – pressing high up the pitch – we are light years away (sadly)

  3. re: cup final.

You can be sure that for some portion of the match, Hibs will seek to pressurise the man on the ball. As today demonstrated, if that man is not quite up for it (or indeed his team mates) there is a significant risk that the ball will be lost.

I really hope we can regain the urgency and determination that are needed to supplement the skill our players have. You can’t swan through games relying on the knowledge that you are ‘better’ than the opposition.

  4. Disagree with “top class” entertainment describing the first half, it was pretty drab, and the

equaliser just before half time with ‘half of the Celtic defence sleeping’ set up top whistler

Norris for his happy accidental instant penalty, and it was game over with Celtic chasing the game, with an experimental line up.

Motherwell have beaten Celtic back to back, and if that’s not pretty knew I don’t know what is, and if there are some cool unconcerned Bloggers I’m pretty sure they’ll exclude NFL after Celtic, have played they way they did today.

    I’dBet CSC

  6. Well what can you say about a game like that? First half was alright, we really need to work on turning position into chance and chances into goals. Think the penalty took the wind out of our sails. Don’t want to be too hard on the players after what they’ve achieved this season, however, Charlie Mulgrew I doubt will have a poorer 45 minutes that he did in the second half. Rogne should be moved on. Hooper seems to be playing in a deeper role and its not really his game. Izzy is a shadow of the player he was. Kayal covers a lot of ground, sometimes really well and sometimes erratically. Young Watt played well.

What, in my opinion this team really needs is a box to box midfielder someone who can go beyond the strikers or time the late run into the box. A player we haven’t had since Stan Petrov.

  7. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

Been reading back…….bhun lutkers and negatonians ….. Thank you, Neil, for a fantastic season…….. Will come back on when the eejits have bumped their guns, and returned to their wee cubbie-holes…….LOL

  8. I think the Jury is still very much out on Rogic. Started well, excellent at picking out player with a long ball, showed some nice touches but faded out of game alarmingly as he did on previous appearance. Can’t see him as immediate answer to our problems. There were earlier suggestions of a 6month/year loan out to Dundee United as a sweetener to bring in Russell or Mckay-Stevens, Whether Dundee Utd or not, I reckon he is one for a loan out to see if he can cut it in the Scottish game.

“lenny wants to be the centre of attraction. with some of the comments he makes, quite embarassing“

    Ha Ha Ha

I take it you don’t do irony.

  10. Corkceltic ,i know what u are saying, but i think its time lenny moved on ,im sure he has been hinting about moving this week, every thing needs changing now and again.

  12. We saw today that there is much need of improvement in the team , not the one or two recruits we thought we needed . Still champions .

  13. Margaret McGill on

I think neil has to win the cup else it will be percieved in Scotland as a lack of hunnery. So here’s hoping hibs are as shit as they were when celtic beat them 3-1 in 2001

  14. Jimtim

    Golfing this year?

Hope to get along for the festivities with pf and oldtim. Like those two gents I shall not be golfing.

  15. Will anybody remember this game in 12 months when we are celebrating another Championship and we are bumping our gums about losing the last league game of season 2013/14?

I hate to quote the Beast but Souness has said on Sky that when Liverpool won the league in Bob Paisley’s last season they couldn’t win another league game. It wasn’t for the want of trying because it was Paisley’s last season but things just went against them. Soft penalties and offside goals anyone? Game changer was the 3rd ‘goal’.

I wonder if Arsenal will do a Murderwell?

  16. CultsBhoy loves being 1st forever & ever on

Today’s result doesn’t bother me, in fact if we concede the remaining league games it will not change the history books. The performance does bother me although it doesn’t surprise me as the guys who are regulars have no incentive and are probably running on empty. What really bothers me is the team selection. Why being Paddy on before Dylan? Why not play Tony in the centre and give another young guy the chance to show what he can do?

I’m semi pleased that the defense was exposed for what it is … Not good enough…

We don’t need massive change but we do need freshened up.

  17. All Watt did today was attack, he got the ball and ran at their defence.

Too many of our players receive the ball then look to cut in or turn back and play an easy pass to someone in no better a position than themselves. We are an image of our manager as a player, he was an expert at it (not a criticism he was an excellent player for us) but we need more players who can attack at pace.

  18. Motherwell deserved to win today, more fight, more guile and they got the breaks. However if we get it right for the cup final I’ll soon forget about it.

I would like to have seen Atajic getting a chance but in Neil I trust. Hopefully the cup final team will be ready for the spirited Hibees.

For next season a dominating centre half and a midfielder that organises, tackles and keeps things together-especially needed at away venues.

  19. The Armageddon Paradox

Since last week, and before to be honest, I’ve noticed the groundswell of media led opinion for a consensus that Celtic’s league win lacks credibility.

I genuinely believe there have been people briefed and tasked to facilitate and enhance this argument. That the common outcry is ‘devalued title’ lacking, for want of a better word – ‘competitiveness’…

But what they mean is lacking ‘The Rangers’. That’s the implicit thrust. That’s what the dots joined look like. And they are droving the cattle that way in a very, VERY, considered manner.

    But…

    For…

    Logic…

    And their agenda…

Tanner isn’t sitting flicking through the points tally in the SPL for previous seasons for something to say. He’s got some stat monkey in his ear telling him that fact. Because stating that Celtic have dropped the most points whilst winning the title is as good a besmirchment of Celtic’s success as any.

    Yet…

Any rational person would have to come to the conclusion that it can only point to a competitive league. A more competitive league.

The dichotomy lies in the fact that they can criticise Celtic whilst praising McCall and Higdon…

    That’s the paradox.

You can’t have it both ways.

You can’t have Celtic running away with the league yet Celtic not running away with the league.

You cannot have a title lacking credibility due to lack of ‘competitiveness’ and a lowest points winning title with second placed manager as manager of the year…

    Paradox.

    Except it isn’t.

It’s just the transparency of a briefed media trying their hardest to reinstate a busted flush into the SPL. Tripping over their flawed logic as they go, shouting ‘Never mind the quality, feel the width…’

It’s truly great to be a Celtic fan. That we have success AND that that success annoys so many folk is truly heartwarming…

Is it really any surprise Celtic are ‘light years away’ from Bayern Munich – a club which has at least half a dozen individuals in their team that cost more than our entire squad?

Comparing our young team with a club that is on the verge of their third Champions League final in four years is ridiculous – to put it mildly.

  22. timbhoy2

So, let me ask you a direct question.

You want Neil to be replaced as manager of CFC.

Who do you think his replacement should be?

    I await your reply.

    HH!!

  23. Hibs are utter pants

Failure to win the SC will take a lot of explaining

Walcott scores…offside ….interesting that the commy doesn’t adopt the ” suggestion ” approach used during our game

One good goal, penalty was debatable – oujamas heel caught chas an chas went down, oujy took a wee bit of a dive imo – and an own goal.

Their heads went up, ours went down

Rogne, chas, and sammi didnt have a good game, others average apart from Tony. Determination won the day.

Would like to have seen Atajic on, hes been bangin them in for fun
