Cannae believe it, Dodds actually praising The Celtic, as I have said before, play it The Stein Way, an the MIB can Whistle Dixie for all it matters. Pens we dont get them ( no surprise there ) so what, we are CELTIC, let The People Sing, and it is all the more satisfying when you are playing 12 men.

Awe, I was waiting to hear mccall ……..hehe

  4. Good teams are built from the back, according to Franz Beckenbauer

and I’m not going to argue with that. We have a fine back 4 now.

    Who`dathunkitCSC :-))))))

  5. for the first time in possibly my 45 yr life , i think i’m watching a Celtic team play as close to the “celtic way” as I’ve seen. We played with precision passing, intensity , pace and guile. When we didn’t have the ball we closed them down and matched their aggression.

Absolutely beautiful to watch Celtic – What a couple of performances.

We are learning from champs league football and the bar has been set very high by Lennon and Mjallby – i believe with a couple more additions we could be more dominant in Europe.

Seriously , this is the best defence I’ve seen at Celtic , A JOY TO WATCH THEM PERFORM.

Hope i haven’t offended the older fans nor the Henrik years – imagine Henrik in this team!!!

  6. Have we got a game tomorrow?

I KNOW some aren`t available but it does give an idea as to our strength in depth

  7. That was glorious to watch. Apart from………… astoundingly awful refereeing and that donkey Lasley. He makes big Elbows look like Messi. Well no really but he really is a talentless hacking horrible man in a football jersey.

Loved watching the young boys coming on and enjoying themselves for a few minutes.

It’s great to be a Tim.

  8. Now that the champions league is gone we are playing our football with no fear. Just look how that is. To the idiots with the flares and pyrotechnics. Think about studying for your 11 plus. Prix.

The team were concentrating on trying get as far as possible in CL…..now they are concentrating on (enjoying) domestically

I agree, it was like Lenny was playing for the CL, not letting the players express themself’s, maybes now he can see when we let rip, we can do the biz.

Hopefully it’s lessons learned, as it’s as good as I have seen for many’s a year.

  11. Scapegoat of the match for me was Fraser Forster. Imagine picking up your wages for that lack of effort

    Love it!!

    Fabulous fabulous football tonight.

Pukki winning the ball and fighting for it in his own half, then running into pace for Mulgrew’s defence splitting ball, and the subsequent cross for Stokes’ goal reminded me of Love Street!

    Fabulous goal– Fabulous football.

  13. I remember sitting in the Motherwell end when it was 0-0 at HT. Scotland were winning the rugby against Ireland & the abuse sent towards the Celtic end behind the goal was disgusting.

Since then, I’ve revelled in every defeat meted out on them.

    Scum.

  14. Imagine if you can Neil Lennon having a prolonged argument with a MIB the way Lasley did.

No you can’ t can you?

    Prix is SPOT ON…..

  16. Celtic starting to purr now! somehow we have clicked and it;s wonderful stuff to watch Efe, Virgil, izzy lustig just stroll through matches and provide another dimension to the team that the opposition just cant compete against us,plus more movement and pace and quickness of thought is helping the team as a whole as well

Just as I said in my last post, Lenny was playing the CL way.

maybes if we had played this way, we might have done something, maybe’s not, but as long as lessons are learned from it, that will do for me.

It is inexplicable that we couldn’t score a solitary goal against Morton at CP.

Ach well, the Double it will have to be!

  20. That is just wonderful.Since the Milan defeat,it seems we have totally changed the way we play.No more 20 passes across the back, but now it is incisive passing, great interplay, and good finishing.Long may it continue.I would pay to watch this football.Something I have not had the inkling to in a few years.Lets not stop.Izzy looks like a world class player in this set up.As does Ledley. We must go all out to re-sign him.Lustig, well the whole team look like they are enjoying playing the Glasgow VCeltic way.

I have been banging on about a striker,he would give us that bit more, but I have no objections to Atajic,or the new boy filling that role.As long as someone can play the role,I have no problems. We have a lovely run in until July, lets see what we really have up front.

    Indeed… a joy to watch…

KC has got to be our best signing since Henrik left, clever clever player.

    Mulgrew, still under-rated

Stokes, patchy, but on his game he’s a gem

Efe and VVD are still growing, but this has the promise of being the best central defence in recent history

Right back plus cover is sown up between Lustig and Adam, Izzy is coming back to his best.

But, something has definitely changed in our last couple of games – something switched, as another poster put it – and it’s not just the “diamond”

  22. Just got home in time to see the interview with Kris and Efe. Congrats on the new arrival Efe and Well Done Celtic on another convincing win.

Really looking forward to watching this now on V+.

First time at Murray Park tonight, baltic but the wee Sons beat the wee Huns, despite a dodgy goal and a dodgy penalty for them. :))))

    It’s Friday I’m in Love.

  23. .

For Years l have been Waking up on a Saturday Morning @ 5am click on CQN and I’m too late for CelticRollerCoasters Friday night quiz..Probably for the Better..;-(

Today l woke Up @ 8:36am and thought Sh^t the Celtic games on clicked on Celtic TV ..0-4 with 90 seconds to go..

It was worth it to see that Sublime pass and GOAL..

    Well done Celtic..

    Summa of AlwaysLateCSC

    Ps..Who made the Pass..?

  24. Chic really going to town talking about some broken seats and the flares.

Really gutted about the result he is.

  25. Another great performance. No discussion about zonal marking or failing to score from corners, so all is right with the world.

Pukki seems to split the CQN contributors. I like him. Shame he is not an instinctive goal scorer, or any type of goal scorer. But he is a player who should get better now that the team is playing a fast tempo game.

Now Atajic is a goal scorer. Cool finish. Does he have the physique to stand up to the rough tactics of the SPFL refs? Oh, I mean defenders.

Izzy was phenomenal, Efe and Virgil commanding, Lustig is oozing class. The man who had the quietest game was Brown and he missed a sitter too.

On the subject of tempo, I love how we are sprinting to get the ball to take quick throw ins. And same with quick free kicks. Not giving opposition time to regroup. Excellent. Keep it going.

  26. I love it when Efe or Virgil power on up the middle. I can smell the fear from the opposition.

  27. Richie #TeamOscar on

Have to say McColl played down the smoke bomb saying murderwell and many other clubs have this issue.

    Young on the other hand?

  28. corkcelt- SUPPORTING THE DAM 5 on

Am on a self imposed exile from blog, just allowing myself one post a week to wean myself off the addiction. Thought the entire team were terrific tonight, couldn’t fault anyone. Total domination 5 goals, 2 stone wallers denied brilliant brilliant football. Just wish some ghuys on here would lay off Pukki. The guy is playing very well, he is making a major contribution to the team and the way we are playing.
