For those who like their pleasure delayed, there is something wholesome in the wider awakening to the traits and abilities of Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese inherited a squad at Porto in 2002 that would achieve great things there and elsewhere, notably against Celtic in Seville a year later, then against Monaco in 2004, but Mourinho’s principle contribution to results was his indulgence in the game’s dark arts.
Later in his career he would achieve while out-spending competitors, or by ‘parking the bus’ while still outspending most. His temperament has always had a question mark over it. Never has he won a league after his second at a club, by then, the impression of brilliance has always unravelled.
He made a barbed comment aimed broadly in the direction of Brendan Rodgers last week, although the Celtic manager was not mentioned, before picking on his own squad this week. All will serve to divert attention from the fact that his spending is eye-watering and comparable to anywhere, but he will never get close to Manchester City.

Now I am not on Home Cup scheme
But if I was
Celtic send out email to iPad email account at 10am
I am at work, my iPad is my home email
I do not get home until after 6
I do not pick up email note until all tickets sold
Do you see this as acceptable
Not everyone picks up messages or emails at 10am, lots of people at work
No consideration for those
Doesn’t matter to me though
Unlike you, I have no interest in a Sevco ( Rangers are deed in my world) or FtSFA game
SFTB, I just wanted to check my facts and now have; Celtic have been working closely with local Social Work to ensure that the Safeguarding processes within the Club are watertight and what they should be. They are open, I believe, to working closely with local support agencies to make sure that these dreadful acts never happen again.
What would be a significant step forward would be a resource that would provide an environment whereby boys and men could be given specific dedicated support if they have suffered abuse; there are many resources for girls and women, but none that I know of for boys and men.
Don’t think for a minute that the abuse of males is any less common; it is far less reported and acknowledged. Maybe if there was a safe and welcoming environment for the abused males to approach, the true scale would be known and acknowledged.
This is in no way intended to minimise the abuse of girls and women, but to highlight the disparity in reporting and support.
Maybe that is an area the Club could take a lead on!

Celtic v Morton. Attendance 18,255.
How can anyone who attended that match and the 2 previously be unable to buy a ticket ?
How can they be sold out ?
Not just missed the semi. But now going to miss a final.

Come on. Nothing to do with Sevco, i would be at the game whether it was them or East Kilbride.
Ps. I was just asking to get points of view. The sales arrangements today were the same as those against Hibs in the League Cup SF in October. I don’t remember any complaints then. But as i say I’m not taking sides.
More tickets will become available but they’ll be limited in numbers.
Watch this space.

No they weren’t. There was set criteria it wasn’t FCFS.
I am fortunate enough to have my 2 tickets for the semi-final; being in the North Curve I put my tickets in with the group in there and get allocated my 2 tickets in wi’ the mad squad.
It’s pretty much like a mosh pit at Hamdump but all good fun!
Having said that, me and my mate get a lot of strange looks from the young team when we are in amongst them!

Minus two for my mate and grandson, I won’t be going….
Delaney’s , sorry for not replyimg sooner.
I really enjoyed your post about how Danny McGrain is your all time favourite Celt.
We were lucky to see him at his finest . He is the first pick in my favourite 11 Celtic players I have seen playing .
Celtic Underground has a good article about games , losing payers to injury or being transferred, which affected us in the seventies. Danny’s and Pat Stanton’s injuries in the 77/78 season plus Kenny’s transfer before that season started along with Stevie Murray’s and Brian McLaughlin’s injuries in earlier years , did not help us.

Most of them combined have less facial hair than you alone! :-)
I hope you’re well sir.

Honestly C it was FCFS. I’m 100% sure, trust me.
David
I’ll check but I think you’re wrong mate. This is the first time I remember a semi or final being FCFS.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis as there is not a sufficient allocation to guarantee everyone a ticket.
On this date in 1950 , the late and great , Sean Fallon, signed for us .
In my opinion, one of the most important people in out club’s history .

I’m doing fine young man! The damaged ligaments have healed well and I’m pretty much (literally) back on my feet! Missed a few games because I couldn’t walk to Paradise or stand for 90 minutes! Looking forward to the game next Saturday!
Hope you and The Minx are both hunky dory!

Yes, you are right re Hibs LCSF also being FCFS and Celtic having insufficient allocation also for this game.

Maybe the draw of playing a 6 year old team from Glasgow was more appealing?

Reason i remember is because i queried why those who went to Dundee in lashing rain for the QF on the Wednesday night weren’t guaranteed a ticket.
Qualifying Ticketing Criteria
Tickets are available to buy now, on a first-come, first-served basis, to those Season Ticket holders who, via the Home Cup Ticket Scheme, purchased tickets for all three matches against Brechin City (Jan 20), Partick Thistle (Feb 10) and Morton (Mar 3).
Tickets are subject to availability as we do not have sufficient allocation of tickets for this match to accommodate all Season Ticket holders who meet this criteria.
So it wasn’t a simple FCFS basis; you had to be on the HTS and have bought 3 tickets.

Some people are fly and try and join the HCTS at the last minute. That’s why it mentions the 3 games.
It’s said in football there is no place for sentimentality.
But there is. Notably.
Danny mcgrain should have been retained as club captain for the centenary season. He deserved that.
Same for Paul mcstay for 97/98. He would have helped stop the 10.
And lubo should have been in Seville. He would have scored.
David17
Apologies, that comment was not needed
It honestly frustrates me, Celtic fans support both these opposition organisations
And I do also accept, Celtic should be supported
I am in the KevJ camp though
A 1 game bhoycott of a game like this would force some radical action
This does not get away from fact
Celtic fans in HCTS, have missed out on tickets
It has already been stated 18000 fans at Morton game
How come some of these individuals missed out ????
Celtic should have offered to those, before the free for all ?????
Hail Hail
And still

CELTICROLLERCOASTER SUPPORTING @WALKWITHSHAY on 21ST MARCH 2018 11:32 PM
It took 11 days to sell out the Hibs game. The supporters must prefer the Scottish Cup :))
DAVID17 I have been on the HCTS since it started and have never missed a semi or final. The icing on the cake is putting my 2 season tickets in with the GB; I don’t even need to buy them. The GB guys do it all for me.

Definitely. the numbers don’t add up.
David
Apologies I was wrong clearly.
Regardless, today’s arrangement with no prior notification is absolutely baffling and has resulted in many who should be receiving tickets not getting them.
NORRIEM on 21ST MARCH 2018 11:39 PM
The number of tickets available must have been less than the 18,000+ why attended the Morton game.
Celtic were allocated approximately 22,000 so by the time corporate and sponsors as well as players etc. got their allocation there were less than 18,000 available for all on the HCTS I would reckon.
So it was a FCFS only for those who qualified from the HCTS.
The salient question I think is how many were available for the fans to buy today and how many were skimmed off the top before the sale?

We’re good my hairy faced friend. We’ll get along to Coias soon but I really cannae go that wee baldy twonk fae Carnoustie!! :-)

Norrie M, Celtic should, IMHO, publicise the number of tickets available for the “ordinary” fan. that would add a wee bit of transparency.

My late father supported us at our worst through the 40s 50s and early 60s saw us at our best after I was born in 1965.He thought I was Celtic’s lucky charm. He adored the Lisbon Lions but his favourite players in the 70s were George Connelly and Stevie Murray. He also loved Davie Hay and Danny McGrain. Danny was the only one who lasted. Wish GC, DH and SM played with us longer. Danny is the greatest ever Celtic player in my opinion. Henke a close second. My dad Robert’s favourite players were called Robert. Evans, Collins, Murdoch and Lennox.:)

Do you like this big baldy twonk fae Dalmuir? ;)))
If you are on the H T S ,and you don’t have a E Mail address,I purchased 3 TKTS for the cup games, will they get in touch with me,or will I have to phone the Ticket Office,to see if I succeeded,in getting a TKT,if I haven’t been allocated one, then that’s me finished with the H T Scheme, buying tickets for Champions League, etc,I have never been lucky when it comes to Semi or Cup Finals

I survived another skiing holiday. WooHoo.
Got home Yesterday early, Celtic Sevco tickets oot, being on hcts, nae problemo.
Being @ the Morton game despite not being able to get oot the street. Problemo.
All the Isms urnae the problem, it is Man, and Man fell a long time ago. Aidan knows a wee bit more now about life.
He alerted me as soon as he knew the tickets were on sale. Far too late 2.
For all you insomniacs, shift workers or early risers. Lisbon Lions documentary on Sky Sports 2.
HH.
The allocation is 22000.
It isnae rocket salad.
If Tickets are being held back… drip fed.
Very disappointed. It is obvious the HCTS is not worth it for me. Aidan will understand after this why I shouldn’t rejoin.
At least he will be safe on the day.
To think I was asking Aidan if he wanted to be in the N/S stands or the East.
Illusion is…..
