BRENDAN RODGERS has revealed Moussa Dembele is in great shape as he prepares Celtic for the new season.
The 21-year-old French powerhouse will feature in his first pre-season game tomorrow afternoon against Sparta Prague.
Dembele has sat out the first two games of the club’s Austrian tour, but Rodgers insisted the striker is in excellent condition ahead of their upcoming European Championship first leg qualifier against Armenia’s Alashkert a week tomorrow.
The Hoops boss said: “Moussa has come back really fit. He’s lost weight and looks good in his running.
“He had a slight issue with his knee the other day and we took him out of one of the sessions. We didn’t want to risk it, but he’ll be involved tomorrow.”
Rodgers has also been impressed with Ryan Christie and Scott Allan as they try to fight their way into his future plans.
He added: “Both players have looked very good. I never rule out any player.”
