MOYES, SINCLAIR IN HOOPS RETURN

TWO former Celts are poised to return to Celtic Park after the club announced their pre-season fixture line-up.

Davie Moyes is lined up to bring his West Ham side to Parkhead on July 24 – a week after Scott Sinclair’s Preston team have taken on what is certain to be a new-look Hoops.

From July 5-14, the first team will prepare at a training camp in Wales, at a state-of-the-art world-class training facility. During the nine-day camp, Celtic will play three closed-door matches against English club opposition, offering crucial preparation for the new season:

July 7: v opposition tbc (3)

July 10: v Charlton (3)

July 14: v Bristol City (7:45)

When the squad return, they will prepare to play two full 90-minute encounters at Parkhead:

July 17: v Preston (5.30)

July 24: v West Ham (3)

The first Champions League qualifying match is due on July 20/21.

In their statement, the club also announce: “Clearly, we are encouraged by the recent announcement of supporters being allowed entry at sporting events across Glasgow this summer, including at Hampden and on Glasgow Green.

“Celtic has been at the forefront of the effort to get supporters back with us and now as we move back to normality, we are preparing to welcome you home to Celtic Park.

“We will be doing all we can to achieve this as soon as possible and will update all our supporters on developments as we look ahead to the new season.”
