CELTIC’S in-form winger James Forrest reckons Scott Brown will be a massive loss for Scotland.

The Hoops star, who has claimed 16 goals this season, said: “I think everyone in the international set-up will be disappointed because of the influence he has on and off the park.

“He’s a great character and he’s the type of player you want in your team.

“The news is positive for Celtic as it means he’ll be able to keep going with us for a few more years.

“He’s been a huge influence. When I came through at Celtic he took me under his wing and it was the same with Scotland, as well.

“Scott’s great for young boys coming through.

“He makes them feel a part of it and makes them work hard, too.

“He makes everyone feel welcome.”
