WILFRIED NANCY will make his first appearance as Celtic’s new manager today.
The Frenchman will be joined at the champions with three members of his Columbus Crew backroom team, according to a statement from the MLS club.
It read: “The Columbus Crew announced today that the Club has reached an agreement with Celtic F.C. for Wilfried Nancy to become the Scottish Premiership side’s manager for an undisclosed fee, given the Black & Gold had an active contract with Nancy.
“As part of the deal, assistant coach Kwame Ampadu, assistant coach and fitness coach Jules Gueguen and video performance coach Maxime Chalier, who were also under contract with Columbus, will join Nancy in Glasgow.”
That leaves the question: Who will remain from the current members of the technical team?

Martin O’Neill, of course, said his final farewell in the 1-0 win over Dundee at Parkhead last night in his eighth game in interim charge following Brendan Rodgers’ resignation in late October.
Shaun Maloney and Stephen McManus stepped up alongside the 73-year-old Irishman, Mark Fotheringham was added as an assistant and Gavin Strachan and goalkeeper guru Stevie Woods remained in their posts.
The club are expected to make an imminent announcement to clarify the situation.
The champions will be looking for unity as they prepare for three crucial encounters as the 48-year-old incoming gaffer, who has signed a two-and-a-half year contract, as CQN reported, gets used to his new surroundings.
Celtic are scheduled for a top-of-the-table clash with Hearts in the east end of Glasgow on Sunday with both clubs sitting on 32 points and the Hoops holding a game in hand.
Then AS Roma will visit Parkhead in the next stage of the Europa League on Thursday and that is followed by the Premier Sports League Cup Final against St Mirren at Hampden a week on Sunday.
