Neil and the players deserve our support this week

I know the huge questions over what happens next season weighs heavy on all our minds, but Neil Lennon and the players deserve all our support and focus this week, as we head to Hampden.

The most important win in Neil’s second tenure at Celtic was the Scottish Cup quarter-final victory at Easter Road.  That came in the week Brendan Rodgers left the building and could have caused our first trophy loss in three years.  That was as big a win as we have had this season.

Sunday is the next huge test of Celtic’s ability to continually raise themselves above all others, in all competitions.  We are on the verge of achieving something that we only achieved three times before 2017 and we face a team who have won and drawn at Celtic Park in the last year.

Go to Hampden with any complacency and your treble treble dream will become a lost fantasy.  Next season will take care of itself, but only Neil and the players can deliver another slice of history.

Surprised Sevco haven’t pencilled in a ‘glamour friendly ‘,or one of their legendary monthly ‘charity’ ….ahem….gaves,against Lancashire cracks,Bury or similar….

    Thems the kwestyins!

Was he hundercover when said rocket launched the offending ronson……or, perhaps he just forgoat aboot the inflamatory bunnet ?

as the default position on everything is No, should every motion be a subtle double negative.

We propose an amendment to the WA whereby in no circumstances will the backstop fail to not be rejected

Bit young for the MTK game although I remember the 2nd leg disaster result coming through (on the wireless). Liverpool game I was playing football that night, rather than hang about outside a Springfield Rd pub waiting on my old man, in for his pre match swally. (the blue lagoon and the 151 bar as I recall).

  7. Maarakeesh ,The Blue lagoon, and the 151 Boozer’s, Springfield Rd Baltic Street,Lily Street , Springfield Rd,did your Dad come from that area,

  8. Having watched Ollie Burke closely, I simply cannot see his valuation of£15 million. Sure he’s fast, so is Linford Christie but the bhoy has a lot to improve before i’d be happy for him to become a permanent Celt

    My opinion obviously

Burke will be gone at the end of the season. We would punt 2m max and 15k wages if he played in Notts still

Weah may get extended, good result all round

Toljian would be a 3m punt for me. No more. Might come off

  11. Good evening, friends. About to watch Liverpool v Porto (boooo) and I’ve given myself an interest with the following 6/1 accumulator – At least 5 cards, at least 9 corners, at least 2 goals, Mo Salah to score anythime, Liverpool to score durig the 2nd half, Liverpool to win.

Have the SFA announced Broonies 2 Match ban yet or are they waiting until they have the hearing?

  13. I’m another who would not welcome Shaun Maloney back.

Get real guys, we may not be a manufactured team sky product.

However, we are a real football force with global support and image. We have pride and should not let disrespect go amiss.

  14. Just sat and watched the opening 4 mins of the all morris dancing champions league tie and then decided to myself that I cant be arsed to watch this.

I am so bombed out on English football.

Don’t know what it is? .Probably the hype.

But it bores me even when its a massive euro tie and a ‘fantasy’ new stadium.

  15. Any oldies on here being at Celtic’s first European competitive match? Fairs Cup against Valencia.

YES i was there.do not remember much about it.

  17. Porto with 5 Brazilians in the side always make the knockout stages. Good scouting system. One of their players off to real Madrid for fifty million.

I was there. My memory of the game is that Valencia were a dirty side. More like South American sides of the 60`s than of the Spanish.Mind you, Real madrid were the only Spanish side we had seen and they did not need to be dirty !

Agree. I was there. Do not remember much about the game either. We lost over two games.

  20. Tottenham are a team I generally like to watch. They last won a trophy, the English League Cup, in 2009. They haven’t won the FA Cup since 1991 and haven’t been league champions since 1961. And yet they’ve just taken the lead in a Champions league Quarter Final!

  21. Thanks Exiled Tim,My triple by pass went well, but one of my lungs collapsed,so I had to go back to the Theatre, were they put me in a coma for ,3 weeks, they then drop feed me , couldn’t eat ,or drink ,I’m home now ,they put a peg on my stomach, still can’t take food or drinks,7 weeks I was in the hospital,I’m still very weak at times, but hopefully in the next few months I will be a lot better,i will not manage to see Celtic this season,I received my renewal pack for next.season, which I will do, thanks for asking for me
