NEIL LENNON, the Celtic boss, is all set to get inundated by transfer offers for Odsonne Edouard, the Hoops’ star striker, considering the way he has maintained his form and looks to do the same, leading up to the summer transfer window.

The French forward received yet another accolade lately after being named the SPFL player of the month, for January 2020. He scored a total of four goals in the four games he played for Celtic in that month. Going by the top sportsbooks, there is a very good possibility that Odsonne Edouard might make a move to Chelsea or Manchester United in the near future.

A bridge that team will cross when they come to it

Having scored four more goals in February so far, Edouard has taken his tally to an impressive 24 goals this season. Even though Lennon informed that Celts are yet to receive any offers for the world-class striker, it’s an inevitability he doesn’t want to deny. However, as per the Irishman, it’s a bridge that the team will cross when they come to it. He expressed uncertainty if Celtic will be able to hold on to a prized asset such as Edouard for very long.

Lennon expressed delight at the award given to the striker and termed it as a well-deserved accomplishment. He has shown brilliance on the football pitch time and again – and the award is expected to give yet another confidence-boost to the player.

Offers and move inevitable

The rumours related to Edouard’s possible move to Premier League gained momentum recently after Charlie Nicholas said that he has what it takes to play at the highest level, if the opportunity comes his way. Lennon echoed the same sentiment, and expressed happiness that the Frenchman is able to showcase his best football skills at Celtic right now, as they progress to bag their ninth successive Scottish Premiership title.

Showing great confidence in his abilities, the Celtic boss said that Odsonne is super talented and is capable of delivering in both the Premier League as well as Champions League. Furthermore, considering the fact that he’s only 22 years old, he has a lot of potential to emerge as one of the leading strikers of the world. Lennon hopes that Edouard continues getting better and better with time.

He further stated that the striker is slightly laid-back overall, but isn’t someone who is very hard to get to know. It’s just that he is quiet and shy, and stays reserved. Nevertheless, he does his share of talking through football, on the pitch. Moreover, the players are very fond of him, coaches rave about him and the fans love him.

Resultantly, he is presently in a very good space. Lennon reasserted that Odsonne Edouard is currently very happy playing for Celtic and is enjoying every bit of his performance for the club. He’s had an excellent season in the Scottish Premier league so far.
